This is a BMTH gig where they had Babymetal as guests. Oli said at the end that they wouldn't play Kingslayer live ever again unless Babymetal were there too.

The audio for the song is from the show in Kobe on the first day of the festival. There is a strong bond between BMTH and BM

Welcome back, great reaction. The original song (it is on the BMTH EP Post Human Survival I think was the title) was recorded during lockdown in 2020. BABYMETAL originally sent their contribution entirely in English, Olli Sykes asked them to include some Japanese - the official lyric video is worth watching too, but of course these live performances were something very special with all the energy and BABYMETAL even created new choreo specially. Omajination did a great job putting this compilation together - she does it all on her phone and it took her 3 days apparently. Ganimal83 has given some excellent suggestions in the comments below for more BABYMETAL reactions, so I will second all of those.

Yay! This performance was definitely worth the 3 year wait since release of the song. What an epic performance! Also, watched your Watch It Burn video, great song!! And yes, PLEASE do more Babymetal! I always loved you two’s commentaries, especially hearing other musician’s perspectives. Suggestions: 1). BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997 concert): An epic show piece and 2 nods to Metallica. 2). iine! (Official MV): A wild ride with many twists 🤣. And, their 2nd song ever, so super smol and adorable. 3). YAVA! (Live with Kami Band intro): epic solos + groovy ska-metal? 4). Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014): Another epic band intro + ultra cute and brutal song about hide and seek. 5). Trilogy of Lights (live: Starlight, Shine, Arkadia): 3 songs about mourning, acceptance, and hope. With Starlight being the unofficial tribute to Kami Band guitarist Mikio’s unexpected passing in Jan 2018. Look forward to more! 🤘🦊

It's probably been said, but the tomato thing is a reference to Yui's obsession with tomatoes and omajination's love of Yui.

Omajination is a huge fan of BABYMETAL, her name comes from the song "Oh! MAJINAI" featuring Sabaton's singer Joakim Brodén, the tomato 🍅 logo from YUIMETAL, due to her love for tomatoes, she's nicknamed the Tomato Princess. As others pointed out, she does all her editings on her smartphone, pretty talented IMHO, she gets the right timings in cutting and keeps the right pace for a video. Here she rightfully choose the audio from their first time, though it's not the best performance, arguably that should be the third one, here SU did a couple of small mishaps, and Oli was a little short breath, still it's their first so it's the one to celebrate 🍾 😊 🤘🦊⚡️

👑 🗡 Yui is known for being a big raw tomato fan, and Omajination is a big Yuimetal fan, so that explains the tomato reference. Ohmajination edits her videos on her smart phone, which is kind of mind boggling. She added some behind the scenes/night vision footage at the beginning. You're one of the very few reactors to catch the video game resolution jokes at the start. Most folks talk over that and miss it. is a big Yuimetal fan, so that explains the tomato reference. So this was Next Fest in japan, organized by Bring Me The Horizon with other bands. They did several collaborations live, and there were other big bands like Maximum The Hormone, Hanabie, Yoasobi. They performed 3 days, and they performed this song live each of the 3 days! It was the first time they did!! Ollie said he wouldn't perform this song live without BM ever again, but not even 1 week later they did perform it without bm, and SU voice on a backtrack xD

This song is off BMTH's album Post Human: Survivor Horror and contains other collabs including Yungblud and Amy Lee. Babymetal has posted several of pictures from this festival series of them with other Japanese metal bands like Maximum the Hormone, Paledusk, Hyde and the lead singer of Coldrain. BMTH got a great lineup for these 4 festivals.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。They performed REAL "Kingslayer" together 4 times in Japan. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍. The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. As you heard, after some hugs with the girls, Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." I know BABYMETAL and BMTH are going to appear in the same festivals next year in USA and Europe. I look forward to seeing them preform Kingslayer together again on those occasions. But BMTH should perform this amazing and popular song even without BM being actually there. (ps. I found BMTH played a virtual "Kingslayer" in the concert in Bangkok, Thai on Nov. 7 after Japan. That's good 👍)

Just to clarify: "Kingslayer" is a BMTH song and this was filmed during a BMTH performance on a festival held by BMTH. BABYMETAL performed right before them. They know each other for years (probably since 2015) and the song was produced in 2020 during the lockdown. They needed three years to make this happen. And it's 🔥🔥🔥

Babymetal and BMTH have a long history of mutual respect going back to a festival that both bands played at and Olie noticed the girls (who were much younger then and had limited English) looked nervous in the male dominated metal festival scene. He and the guys took them under their wing and Olie even wore a Babymetal t-shirt when he performed onstage that night. From my understanding Babymetal was responsible for introducing BMTH to Japan as they opened for Babymetal in Japan the following year. Kingslayer was Olie's idea as a collaboration to honor the close relationship the two bands had. The original lyric video is great. This was the first time since the release of the song in 2020 that they played this together LIVE.

Oli had Babymetal in mind from the start here. It was a true collaboration as they even have a behind the scenes making of it. Project Kingslayer was 3 years in the making and to see it finally performed live was a dream come true for fans. To see it come out so well here we couldn't have asked for much more here. There is a possibility they will get another opportunity at the Sick New World Festival next year in Vegas. As both will be there but don't expect to get tickets easily as are already sold out. Reselll VIP will cost a fortune as I found out. It set me back like $900 as yikes! Good reaction here BTW! 🤘🦊

Lyric video is actually really cool, it's done a bit differently and sounds way better, a lot better and matches the lyrics matrix vibe theme. It's their best song or 2nd best song imo, when it comes to their best songs I would always listen to the official first, otherwise it might ruin the first impression

Well, this is officially a Bring Me the Horizon song featuring Babymetal. But it's made in a way that Babymetal have a really big part in it. The way a "featuring" should be made I think. And Nexfes is a (metal) festival organized by BMTH.

I'm sure by now, you realize the song is BMTH's song. Also I'm sure someone has told you about BM and BMTH connection and bond. Their friendship goes back quite a few years. I think to 2015. Both bands were at a festival in the UK and BMTH decided to kind of act like big brothers to a then really young BM.
