Crazy day on the bait rod! That first one for sure looked like a shark fight to me. Looked like the tail was hitting the line. Also, that was a hell of a gaff shot on that tuna!

Great content as always! How far offshore can you start finding good fish on the pacific?

Cool vid. Have you fished the Med before? I find it strange that the picked Valencia. That coast is a masssive tourist area and that affects the fishing, nothing like Los Buzos. October is nasty, bring your long johns😂😂

Robert!!! I always enjoy your vids and would like some direction on purchasing a new pedal drive Yak. I used to own a 12' Native Slayer pedal dive and loved it. I used it on some bigger lakes in Minnesota in rough conditions and performed amazingly, but I sold it a few years back. Do you know of anyone who fishes Natives in big Ocean water? I see you and the crew mostly fishing out of the push pedal type. Any insight would be great. Cheers brotha!

You should look at my brand, Lightning Kayaks! Made in the USA (not too far from you - Minneapolis). The Nomad and the Strike both handle big water great. The Strike is SUPER stable

Is that the 180 hobie peddle drive? I have the same boat and am trying to find out if the drive fits before dropping a fortune on it.

What rod do you pair with your light setup I love my spinning rods here in so cal I love the looks I get even more lol

Someone's light set up will need a drag rebuild.

Spain won't be easy. Less fish in quantity and variety. AJ, 4 kind of groupers, dendex, red snappers, blue fish, mahi Mahi, bonito, false albacore, blue fin tunas, litsa amia, European sea bass close to the shore. These are almost the half compared to the pacific ocean. So be prepared!!

i´ve rigged bonitos here in costa rica but they die about 10 minutes in, any tips on how to make them stay alive? on the boat it's ok but on the yak it's impossible
@YakFishField5 ай бұрын
Gotta keep moving. If you stop even for a minute they’ll die. Also get them in as quick as possible and put them back in the water as quick as possible. Speed is key
@Bage9036 ай бұрын
what rod and reel do you use
@ultimatejay6 ай бұрын
I don’t get why you use a light set up? Just use a heavier set up in case you hook something big. Bait aren’t line shy

Probably for fun sake/video sake. People wanna see that rod bend
