Another awesome vid, well done mate! If you have a look at the Tarwhine fillets before and after you hosed them, you’ll notice they’ve gone a bit more grey. Freshwater changes the fillets a bit, not just colour wise, but flavour wise as well. If you can, keep freshwater away from your fillets.

Thanks mate. I didn’t really wash the fillets, maybe a little bit of fresh got on them off the table but that’s about it. Normally I’m pretty careful as I agree with what you said!

This day we went out about 2.5 hours before high tide. And came in about 2-3 hours after the tide change. I like to cross the south passage near high. But it didn’t really matter on this day. Conditons were 0.8m NE Swell with a 20km SE wind . Was pretty comfortable
