I can only agree with that. I left Germany, where I grew up, about 8 years ago. First to London, now I've been in Malta for 3 years. People often ask me if I don't miss anything from Germany (except for the high taxes of course ;-) ). But the point is, I miss things from countless countries and cities. The perfect city/country for me would probably have aspects of London, Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Bali, Istanbul, Bangkok, Monaco, Galway, Nice and much more and even if I could build that city for myself, it still wouldn't fulfil all the things I can cover by living in 3-4 countries a year. As a currency speculator who lives primarily from the market activity of the European morning to noon, different time zones are already a welcome side effect. If I want to sleep a little longer before work, I go to Dubai or Istanbul or even shift my work into the evening hours by staying in Thailand or Indonesia for two months or so. If I want to go paragliding around February, I go to Morocco or South Africa. They invented aeroplanes for a reason ...

So for me the following places are where I spend my time throughout the year. 1. San Juan del Sur, Nicaragau. My base of operations - 3 to 6 months per year 2. Medellin Colombia and Cartagena Colombia - 3 months per year between the two 3. Dominican Republic - 1 to 3 months per year 4. The Bahamas - 3 months per year

Having travelled the world, I've definitely found there to be a lot of great places to live but no perfect places. If one can pull it off financially, it definitely makes sense to spend time in multiple locations and to have backups. As we've seen in the last few years, countries around the world can change very quickly. A good place can become a bad place in only months. It's nice to diversify if one can pull it off.

Probably Malaysia or Seychelles indeed. Seychelles is extremely beautiful and so scores high points there, and Malaysia also has very beautiful spots, lots of people speak english there, great infrastructure, the value of what you get is high, the cost of living is low, weather is great, food is awesome, and it is also probably the place where you can get the largest house possible for the lowest price, the value-criteria in real estate there in Malaysia is second to none. stop it with the mountains! Coming back down to earth for some of your viewers who aren't HNWI and don't have the resources to plant flags in multiple locations, the dilemma in choosing a new place (maybe others can relate to this) is trying to find the location that covers 1. where is there good work with decent income? 2. where offers affordable and comfortable accommodation through renting? I'm not sharing at my age 3. a culture that I enjoy with values. Some places hit one or two of these - eg. Spain is high on no.3 but not 1. Middle East hits 1 and 2 but not really no. 3. Australia where I'm a citizen now only matches no.1. Perhaps I can only expect to match 2 out of 3 until I have the resources to match all 3 requirements.

I fully agree with what you've said but there's a question I can never get over: How can you support a family with such a lifestyle? Especially if you want kids. I haven't seen this aspect covered in your videos, any thoughts?

Homeschooled children have social advantages...unless for example in the US, you want your kids to be parents by 14, have no moral compass, and want them to be a communist liberal. But if that's what you want for your kids, Gov school is the place to be.
@qetoinfinity20862 жыл бұрын
I know a number of Christian homeschooled children some of whom are grown up. They are the most polite, well-adjusted, moral/ethical children I have ever met. The ones who have grown up have successful businesses and careers, some married & having children. Home schooling is the way if one wants raise their children up with Christian/Capitalist values (at least in the West, where the schooling system is thoroughly Marxist).

I think it’s extremely difficult if you have children, as there are many needs of a child that this lifestyle doesn’t fulfill. The need for stability, socialization, having permanent friends, etc etc. However when it comes to a partner I think that there are plenty of people who are location independent or who strive to be location independent. More and more jobs are remote, and more people than ever have the opportunity to explore the world. Especially if you’re in such circles, you’ll meet tons of people who think alike.

As an introvert, I prefer places with less people around. As a westerner, I prefer places with free speech, very good health services, no islam or feminism. And there must be an ocean nearby. Another condition is local farming, since the food industry is poisoning us with sugar high-quality local produce is essential for health. Places that come to mind are the south of France or Spain, like Cannes and Marbella. Not cheap, but the quality of life is very high. Add a sailing yacht in a nearby marina and you've arrived.

My ideal place of residence is a place that has clean air, clean water, low crime rate, and access to a variety of good and services. It seems like with a list like that, there are trade offs. Istanbul seems like it could be a good medium of those, if one wanted to have access to many places by way of Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is said that the Istanbul airport will be the biggest in the world in a few years time. The idea of having the cosmopolitan of the city, and having the ability to jet off to anywhere else in the world with many choices seems like a good place to base. From what I have heard the old airport is supposed is transitioning to a national park. Plus, there were talks of a canal being built in Istanbul. That could be very exciting because it would make Istanbul a great port city for chain supply and logistics. But, the downside that Michael had responded about Istanbul is that it's ridden with scammers and many parts are gritty. Although, I've heard much of these urban regeneration with very modern urban village build outs. Istanbul looks like a city very much on the rise of standard of living.
