I can see a world where you have Jakeem Jackson, Ashton Stamps, and PJ Woodland at CB and throw DJ Pickett & Jhase Thomas into the fire at safety. But ideally you would go get Jacoby Matthews.

All those portal needs mean this team will have significant holes again next year. You will not find an SEC caliber player at all those spots. You just won’t. And of those guys that are you will get out bid on for some of them. And some guys you sign just won’t live up to billing. Until LSU is willing/able to pay as much as the top dogs we will continue to field 9-3 teams (in our best years) and be begging for a playoff spot. This is a 7-5 to 9-3 team again next year. No way around it. Too many holes, not enough money, and weakness in the offensive coaching staff to boot.

You don't know ball. Just signed a top 8 recruiting class. We ARE one of the top dogs. We may not be Oregon but we got money. Grabbing around a dozen guys out of the portal at positions of need is not a major ask. Ole Miss signed 25 portal guys last year and this year there are more guys transferring than ever before.
