I absolutely love the kids writing on the closet walls. I have kids myself and it's so easy to get wound up by them doing that but in the end, it's such a small thing. Giving them the space to do that keeps it contained and now you have a memory. Love it. Made me smile. We moved into our dream house in 2019 (well, minus a pond). And it was really emotional leaving the first house due to the amount of memories made there. Had no idea but it hit me like a fully loaded semi.

You can use the non freeze proof tile in the button of the pool because at this dept, the water will not freeze. The freeze proof can be put near the surface and above the water line. Win win !

You would regret choosing the dark solid color tile, not because of the ice. The "fake texture" is important as it hides scaling a bit... a dark solid color tile will show even the smallest amount of scaling, which you, like every other pool owner, will get

The pool we built a few years back is exactly the same as yours but the stairs entrance is flat and you can walk in sloped downward like the beach. Then a planter box behind the spa and the back side of the pool. Super cool design

Seeing this reminds me what I went through about a decade ago. Sold the house I grew up in for 27 years about 8 months after my daughter was born. We did hire movers with a big a$$ truck and they loaded everything up in 1 go minus a few small box things we took in my mom's Wrangler. We stuffed a lot of stuff outside for people to take like my old ebike as there was no way I was gonna commute that from Scarborough to downtown Toronto. Packing only took about a week but I think we forgot 1 plastic Ikea cup with a jug of OJ...hope the new owners appreciated that.

We're over in New Braunfels and our pool froze last Feb. There might have been 2-3 inches on top, and I doubt our tile was freeze rated. It did fine. Even if a few cracked you could get someone to replace them. If Mer really likes that tile go with it. It'll probably be fine. By the way even at 2-3 inches on one end of the pool the other end was thinner. If last year didn't cause issues, we would need a two week freeze to really cause pool damage. I was more amazed the pump and plumbing didn't break because power was so intermittent. Our pump was designed to run 24/7. It may have run 4-5 hours intermittently.

We just moved at the start of November in less than two weeks. Two skips of junk and and god knows how many bags of donated clothes and toys later. Three bedroom house down to a three bedroom townhouse. All the books are on pallet racking (installed by hubby) in the double garage. Hubby and I worked FT throughout and our 20yo daughter and her friends pitched in. ❤❤
