I’ve actually been practicing this exact version now for so long. My fiancé doesn’t know but instead of the traditional wedding music, I’ll be playing this on piano and singing as she makes her way to me at the alter. She knows how bad my stage fright is, but I want to show her that for her I’ll lay it all out there.

I’ve been listening to this song for 4 years already and still cry each time. The reason why is because I think of a woman I haven’t met in person yet but loved my whole life and secretly call her my wife. I haven’t seen her in person, yet I already know and feel her in my soul (In the heart of Me) . Because I’ve seen this person in my dreams so many times and felt her in my heart and thoughts for so many years, I can’t love anyone else freely because I know they are not “Her” and I think I won’t be able to love anyone else but “Her” for the rest of my life. I always tell myself that when I meet her I’ll recognize her and she will recognize me because our souls know one another very well. I’ve got her under my skin . she’s my soulmate. I know this may sound crazy , corny and stupid or even weird to anyone else who hears it, that’s why I can never share this with anyone that I know personally because they probably won’t understand and make me feel worse. So I listen to this song , silently think of her on my alone time and wait for the day I get to meet her. Where ever you are dream girl just know “I’ve got you under my skin”. I love you ❤️

This is completely transformative. When Sinatra sings it, it's obviously about a man who is in love with a girl who drives him a little crazy. From my perspective, it transforms the original meaning into a song about the perspective of someone who is frustrated by the fact that he is infatuated with someone who he knows is terrible for him. Aside from the topic of attraction to toxic relationships, it also opens up the interpretation into a much wider scope that could also include the sad reality of the mentality of those who have fallen prey to drug abuse. Truly creative, innovative, and an excellent discussion piece by an artist with a high degree of understanding in his art form.

When most of the comments are not about the artist himself but the song, you know the artist did a very! good job to transfer the meaning of the song and music. He makes the people understand what hes singing about without pulling attraction to his own person to get attraction or whatever. This one here is fire!

Lyrics: I've got you under my skin I've got you deep in the heart of me So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me I've got you under my skin I tried so not to give in I said to myself this affair never will go so well But why should I try to resist, when, baby, I know so well I've got you under my skin I'd sacrifice anything, come what might For the sake of having you near In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night And repeats, repeats in my ear Don't you know little fool, you never can win Use your mentality, wake up to reality But each time that I do, just the thought of you Makes me stop before I begin 'Cause I've got you under my skin I would sacrifice anything, come what might For the sake of having you near In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night And repeats, how it yells in my ear Don't you know you fool, you never can win Why not use your mentality, step up, wake up to reality? But each time I do, just the thought of you Makes me stop just before I begin 'Cause I've got you under my skin Yes, I've got you under my skin

💕 A hauntingly beautiful performance. I sincerely appreciate you for posting the lyrics. But please note, most respectfully... tho nearly identical, they're not the precise lyrics originally written by legendary songwriter, Cole Porter. From my heart, I mean no criticism whatsoever. I am simply & humbly giving credit for the lyrics to whom it's due ~ to Mr. Cole Porter ~ who was & will forever be remembered as one of the most accomplished, most widely acclaimed, most profoundly gifted, truly iconic songwriters of all-time.🙏♥️🇺🇲✌

Sometimes there is someone deep in your heart. You don't know their name or face, but you know their soul, their essence. You walk down the street and hope that they will cross your path. You feel an invsible string tugging onto your heart, like someone is calling you to them. It's like a part of your soul, is under someone else's skin. Under the skin, I know we are the same. We are made from the same matter. Our soul was split into two when we came here and we are destined to walk around earth like fools, searching for eachother. We try to mask it up. "I'm not looking for my other half, but for my other full." we say to others, hoping that we will convince ourselves that we can be fulfilled without the missing part of our soul. Sometimes this kind of love is too pure and too foreign for this world. If you're reading this tonight and you're in search for your missing parts, let fate take the wheel. Good luck.

This is not a Sinatra song, it was written by Cole Porter and first performed in the movie Born to Dance. Sinatra recorded it like 20 years after it was written, by which time it had already been recorded by many artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee, Cab Calloway and Dinah Washington, among others.

Lyrics: 🌌I've got you under my skin I have got you, deep in the heart of me So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me I've got you under my skin I'd tried so, not to give in I said to myself this affair it never will go so well But why should I try to resist when baby I know so well I've got you under my skin I'd sacrifice anything come what might For the sake of having you near In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night And repeats, repeats in my ear Don't you know, little fool You never can win Use your mentality Wake up to reality But each time I do just the thought of you Makes me stop before I begin 'Cause I've got you under my skin I would sacrifice anything come what might For the sake of having you near In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night And repeats how it yells in my ear Don't you know, little fool You never can win Why not use your mentality Step up, wake up to reality But each time I do just the thought of you Makes me stop just before I begin Because I've got you under my skin Yes, I've got you under my skin
