I once disobeyed my father because of this. My mindset then is to work for the Lord to give glory to Him. Turned out, napaalis ako sa bahay namin. After that, gumulo ang buhay ko. I'm serving that time to the Lord but parang naiba ang landas ko. I had a boyfriend then I got pregnant. Nahiya na kong bumalik sa church. Then, iniwan ako ng boyfriend ko. I became a solo parent. As a Pastor She need to teach their student to honor their father and their mother. He need to wait until He is in the right ages na kung saan hindi nya na kailangan ang consent ng parents nya. If it is the calling of God for Him it will come. Hindi gusto ni God that we will lost respect to our parents because of our desire to serve Him. Bilang isang ina, I'd rather see my son in school premises than seeing him hopping from village to village with people i dont even know. True church is in our hearts. We can always serve the Lord at the right time and at the right place. If it's your call, then it's really your call to serve. Being young and curious can easily lead us to people who are wolves dressed as sheeps.. Sa panahon ngayun, maraming nagbabalatkayo and kids are vulnerable. Im not saying mali but one of the many rights of a child sa mundong ginagalawan natin is the right to education. Mag aral muna boy at matuto at paunlarin ang sariling kakayahan at isipan para makatulong at makapagserbisyo sa Dios at sa ibang nangangailangan ng higit pa. My 2 cents.

I was 17 yr old when I was born again. My grandmother opposed vehemently with my new found faith. I was a student, dependent on their financial support for schooling and basic needs. She doesn’t want me to go to that church because she was a member of another one and she wanted me to stay with her. But I found new joy and peace in my new faith. They taught me to study the Bible, pray, prioritize my school, love and respect my parents because that’s what the Bible teaches. So I stood firm on my faith even when they cut down my allowance leaving me nothing for fare going to church but it was also the same time that I experienced miracles of overflowing provisions. Yes, at first I argued with them that I’m in a better place then, but they didn’t understand. My cell group leader told me to Honor my Parents because that’s the will of God. And to not argue with them but continue to serve the Lord and serve my parents. To show them what God has done in my life-the changes which is for the better. I learned to show them compassion and respect that they deserve just for being my parents/grandparents-not minding the opposition or trick they were doing just to stop me. To make the long story short. When I stopped arguing and started respecting and serving them amidst opposition, because I also stood firm on my faith, they begun to realize that something had change in me. Yes I disobeyed them for changing faith but they liked the outcome of my new character, as a person and as a student. Eventually my grandmother wanted me to bring all my cousins to my church so that they will also change like me. 🙏🙌👏. Praise and glory to God! Yes, we can serve the Lord even as a minor, but we need to do it so that the Lord will be glorified on it. We are living testimonies to our parents. If we disrespect them in an attempt to serve God, we are violating the scriptures. Truth that others don’t realize is LOVING THE LORD IS DIFFERENT FROM LOVING THE CHURCH OR MINISTRY. The order of priority should be 1st-God, 2nd-Family, 3rd-Church/Ministry. Family is our first ministry. That’s why in choosing a leader in the church, ONE must be a good and respected leader of his family first.Maybe doing missions is not time for Daryl yet. But he can still serve the Lord and Honor his mother at the same time. I’m praying he will open his eyes and obey first. And praying for his mother as well to see God’s will for her boy.

Pano natin sila mahihikayat na maniwala kung yung mga gawa din natin ay mali? Iba kasi tlga pag my conviction ka na maglingkod, pero magpaalam ka ng maayos, specially minor yung bata, kahit sabhin nya na gusto nya dpat pagbawalan pa din hanggat hndi napayag ang magulang.
