@Sidious6460 U must be either a female or a casual fan. Just because u make a guy a starter doesn't mean their stats/efficiency always goes up. There's plenty of examples of that. So stop googling stats and listen to someone that actually watches the players. The eyes tell u everything u need to know, not google. Maxey and IQ are 2totally different players. I've had a good 4yrs of watching IQ to know that, without googling per 100 possession stats. Many guys get more minutes and get less efficient. IQ is a streaky scorer with no passing ability. I watched him dribble out the ball for 15-20seconds for 4yrs. Some guys are bench players for a reason, this isn't algebra.

He’s still young and needs to improve in plenty of places, but If you can’t see the potential of a 23 year old with a ton of talent that has room to grow, there’s a good chance you’re the casual or a female yourself. NBA GMs love players like OG, they see him as mini Kawhi with potential for growth. He's easily the most coveted player in the league right now. He's not a star but is two-way playing ability is what's coveted. He can guard bigs like Embiid and hold his ground with his size and massive shoulders. He can guard smaller guards like Curry and also guard shooting guards in the perimeter like Klay. And he can shoot 3s, mid range, get steals, fast break dunks and free throw.

Good trade for the Knicks! They are out of Barrett's contract and don't have to pay Quickly who is due for an extension. Knicks can use their funds to resign OG. Knicks have enough guns to come off the bench in Hart and DiVincenzo. I will miss Quickly, but to get quality you have to give up quality and Barrett would not have been enough.

it's hard to see OG leaving the Raps (as a Toronto local), especially as he's finally beginning to reach his potential after missing a lot of time in recent years due to injury. it's funny seeing a lot of people in the comment section refer to him as a mini kawai; i've always thought missing half that season on the bench due to injury and watching kawai all year may have been the best thing for him.

RJ is ok overall, but I'm glad we got rid of him. He plays like he's the best player on team when he's really about the 3rd. He would hog the ball and go Harden mode at the worst possible times. OG is a lot more unselfish and versatile. Losing Quickly hurts a bit, but still worth it

Maybe I’m crazy. I love OG but think IQ was one straw too many. RJ and 3 picks & another bench player and I would be celebrating. What don’t I see? Expiring contract. He opens the floor for JB & JR. Can defend anybody from Embid to AD to Steph. Shoots big 3’s is not afraid of the paint. But IQ is a 6 MOTY Contender this & last year. Been hearing about our draft wealth for years now.
