The group's name was taken from the Filipino word "bini" binibini, which means "young lady", a nod to the group's vision to "embody the idea of a modern Filipina - sweet, fierce, independent, and informed" and Bini debuted on June 11, 2021, with their single, "Born to Win", after three years of training under SHA. Wow! IV of spades being mentioned??? Their songs are definitely timeless. With regards to Cherry on Top. I think the main goal of this single is to actually promote globally especially since they performed it to KCON. However, even though it is a full english song, the music video is actually full of Filipino culture 8:30 the bread was called "pandesal" which is a filipino bread and it is dipped in coffee just like how Filipinos eat it. 10:17 the cherry on top. It was stolen because the cherry does not belong to "halo-halo", a Filipino dessert haha. 11:12 I think their make-up was kinda inspired with the make-up that is trending during 90's here in the Philippines. 13:36 "cause you know who run the world" this phrase was actually what I think BINI wants to promote all the time. Bini wants to be a representative of "modern Filipina" who is confident, informed, and powerful. 15:53 if you can see the bananacue and the drinks in plastic, these are common snacks here in the Philippines as well. 19:37 BINI'S fandom name are called Blooms.
