ABOUT ME
- I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
- I was born in November of 1983 and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
- "OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
- I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
- My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
- Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

I can't believe you actually find Jun similar to Kangta! Jun appeared in the program I Can See Your Voice before debut as Kangta's lookalike! Even Kangta and Moon Heejun were on that episode and found Jun's visual and voice/vocal technique really similar to Kangta's. I totally recommend seeing A.C.E's covers of some of H.O.T dances and Jun singing Hope in front of them in the program. Fun fact: Two of the members were in the public watching him and Donghun, the one who appears after Jun in this mv, also appeared in the same show with another guy in GOT7's episode

i think a lot of people will suggest favourite boys (goblin) and savage to react to next but i think reacting to take me higher will give you an idea of the versatility of this group (and the dance practice is so clean and fast it literally looks sped up it is MESMERISING). honestly everything they do is incredible during take me higher they only had 4 members because chan placed 9th in the unit and was promoting with UNB during that period of time. under cover was their first comeback as 5 after the unit and mixnine

I think you’d enjoy their dance practices. They’re such good performers! Thank you for reacting to them 💙 Edit: I suggest Savage (has the same swaggy vibe as Undercover), but if you want something completely different then check out Take Me Higher. It’s a lighter vibe and their vocals are the highlight of that song.

Their two other most popular songs are Savage and Goblin (Favorite Boys). Rap line goes hard in both of those too lol (especially Goblin, but Savage has a particularly iconic rap part). They also consistently do really wild unexpected things with their styling and makeup, especially the guy with the yellow outfit and the pigtails/ They're really not afraid of being too feminine or too weird, and that guy in particular has been very vocal about fashion being genderless and femininity and masculinity being undefinable, which I think is pretty cool. They're a performance heavy group, tbh their main dancers (who are also the two rappers) are imo two of the best in the industry, and again the guy in the pigtails is particularly known for his dancing. A surprising amount of big names know him. Their vocal line is also insane, and especially the guy with brown hair has a crazy amount of vocal control. He knows what he's doing (they all do. dance line can sing, vocal line can dance). Anyway, thanks for checking them out.

If you are a dancer you should definitely react to their dance performances .You can't see that much of a dancing in MV when focus is jumping from one place to another. Try their studio or live performances , the whole choreos. Thank you very much for reacting to A.C.E ¬¬ !!!

yes!!! i was so hoping you would end up reacting to them! i saw them last year and did a hitouch and it was incredible. they are HEAVILY underrated and deserve more love and attention. I definitely recommend watching savage which came after this and then their most recent (besides a remix of it that came out recently) called favorite boys (goblin). I always love their concepts + they are such all arounders it blows my mind.

I'm an OG H.O.T. stan back in the day. I still look for vids on H.O.T. Thats when I came across the ep of I Can See Your Voice with Jun singing H.O.T. covers to Kangta and Tony. (I would like to think that Kangta and Tony gave Jun and in a sense, A.C.E., their blessings.) From there, I searched for A.C.E. and now i stan them. They kill it vocally and are amazing dancers. Like you, im a retired urban choreo dancer, and right away i noticed A.C.E.'s level of dance. All their members are at a high but also equal caliber to each other and the choreography is at a high level that doesnt lack in musicality and intention. Def stan A.C.E. They deserve it big time.

A.C.E. is a hidden gem of Kpop. They have great vocals (you should check out their vocal covers, my favorite would be Someone you loved), rap and dancing skills (check out Cactus and Goblin) and they are so sweet and crazy when they aren't performing. I personally love their song Callin', I think it's very underrated for how good it is, but if you want to see more of their fun side maybe go for 'Take Me Higher' or if you want you can watch something similar to undercover, 'Savage' is a great continuation. Also, they have b-sides that are pretty dope (and have choreos but not mvs) like 'Baby Tonight' (again, ond of my favorites) 'Do It Like Me' and they even made a choreo cover of 'Taki Taki' and some other songs (their vocal covers are great as well but for now, I'm trying not to overwhelm you with suggestions). As you can tell, we are a very spoiled fandom haha, we get selfies almost daily from the members on twitter as well, we get regular v-lives, little shows or corners they do over on their KZbin channel... being a choice is great.

A.C.E choreo always goes hard, their dance practices are a sight to see. You should also see their part change versions, they still try but it's goofier and really cute XD (and a mess but that's one of the many reasons why we love A.C.E). They also did a relay version of this song live, not sure if that was the fancam you watched or not. A.C.E got a lot of hate for the way they dress sometimes (in their MV) but they still do it nowadays and don't care (nor do the fans lol)

@@cigimon4 yeah they're older than most groups because they were all part of big companies like YG and JYP but those companies usually only debut very few of the trainees they take on, so when they left those companies to join Beat (they were specifically scouted by trainers at those companies to form A.C.E) they were already 18-22, and then it took them about two-three years to get enough money to debut. So they're a bit older, which is nice because they feel more mature and generally have more experience but they also probably have less time as a group before they disband, which I try not to think about lol

I noticed from one of the other comments that you have seizures, so I won't suggest Callin' or Goblin, even though both are wonderful songs and music videos there is a lot of flashing lights and images, though I will say Callin' has a second version video which focuses on the dance more than the visual, flashy things... and I do know you are a retired dancer, and I think you will enjoy the choreo of Callin', I know that I do. But video wise, I would say their debut Cactus is a good video to check out and Savage one of their newer songs that is in some ways a follow up to Under Cover. They do have a video that is more of a story telling vibe which is a song for their fandom Choice, the song/video is called Stand By You, the lyrics are wonderful.
