Layton Simon aka Ladon “The Beast” Simon aka Lamar Silas from the Starz BMF series is discussed in this video. A biography of Layton’s life is provided.
The video starts with an overview of Ladon's early life in Detroit. Ladon was born on January 6, 1957. His father worked for Ford and his mother was a saleswoman who sold dresses.
Layton was arrested for the first time when he was about 10-years-old during the 1967 riots in Detroit, Michigan. Layton explains that he got caught stealing hats.
Next, the video discusses Harold Stinson and Walter Cason, two drug dealers who Layton would end up doing business with.
One day, Layton was on his way to baseball practice and he decided to stop at a friend's house. At his friend's house, Layton met a guy named "Dirty Diamond Dirt" who eventually introduced him to Harold Stinson.
When he was 14-years-old, Layton started selling drugs for Harold Stinson. When Layton was 15, he bought a 1972 Lincoln Town Car. At the time, Layton didn't even have his driver's license.
Walter Cason and Harold Stinson eventually started beefing and Layton worked more with Harold than he worked with Walter.
Harold Stinson was murdered in 1977 by David Charles Johnson, who was allegedly hired by Walter Cason. Layton describes the incident as the worst day of his life.
Walter Cason was incarcerated with Layton Simon and when Cason was released, him and Layton took their territory back from the 50 Boyz. While Walter and Layton were locked up, Edrick "E.D." Boyd and the 50 Boyz took over the South Side of Detroit.
Layton eventually left 12th Street because the 50 Boyz knew a cop named Sam who made life difficult for Layton.
Layton's brother Elvis is discussed in the video. Elvis was allegedly murdered by E.D. The video also documents Layton's beef with Big Meech.
