"We forgot who the real enemy was, and became enemies of ourselves." He said the most truest sentence in a long time. When we all become aware of this then change can start. Better yet can progress.
@djbeezy Жыл бұрын
It's a shame he is wrong. The real enemy is career politicians. The enemy is not the white man or a black man. Actually, the real enemy is ourselves being ignorant to what is going on.

It’s true what he said. There was gangs before crips and bloods came along. They just adopted the name bood or cripple. He named a bunch of OG hoods too. OG Fosho
@anthonycarella1779 Жыл бұрын
There is so much content on how the crips started; Raymond Washington, Tookie Williams, the Robert Ballou incident, and then a lot of history on sets and the ETG/Rollin 60s gang war that split LA. There is even good information on T. Rodgers and such. But I really feel like this video bridges an information gap on the history of Bloods in LA. Yes, he said what a lot of people already said - that Blood was a response to Crips trying to strong arm communities. But he painted the picture of how it all came about in a very vivid way.

@letssee92 жыл бұрын
@Fairview’s Finest FVC in this case, the Spook hunters ("spook" is what they called black people) were racists whites that were really causing problems for blacks that had moved to LA from the south and one of the reasons those blacks started making gangs in the first place. so not just "whites because they were white". this country has some tripped out history.

No disrespect Marv. But as far as I know Boothill was a small apartment complex on Alondra east of Center Street just before the canal. Boothill to my knowledge was never where current Nutty Blocc is. In the 70’s it was called Neighborhood Block Crip after the Grandees stopped. Between Central and Wilmington, from Alondra to Greenleaf. To the West is Lantana Blocc ( all the way down Caldwell into the Hole) and to the east is Farm Dog Crip.... then Acacia Blocc. Any of us who lived around there all knew who Boothill Reggie was.

It wasn’t just about the lyrics though. DOC had a small portion to do with that, it was mostly Ice Cube’s terrifying lyrics. It was the culture! NWA taking on the look of the Santana blocc crips.
