epic has always done it wrong, people didn't use the stretched resolution because it gave them some advantage (besides anyone could set it) it's because their damn game you can't natively set the FOV, every other battle royale can set the FOV, and the only one where you put a wall in front of you that covers all your vision doesn't have it. If you see that your players have to be modifying your game files, why not just give them a simple FOV slider?
