Ogden Ave EB, Harlem Ave (IL Route 43, Berwyn, IL) to Downtown Chicago | VirtualRoad

In the series finale of our Ogden Ave Eastbound series, we finish the trip all the way to the end in Chicago's Goose Island neighborhood. We follow along the original U.S. Route 66 route through the south sides of Berwyn and Cicero before we enter Chicago in the Lower West Side neighborhood of North Lawndale. We continue through North Lawndale crossing Cermak Rd, the CTA's Pink Line, and Douglas Park before reaching Western Ave where we enter the Medical District. As the name suggests, this is home to a lot of hospitals we pass in between before crossing the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and enter Chicago's Near West Side and West Loop. A great deal of gentrification has happened in this area so it looks very different compared to 20-30 years ago. After passing through the dense West Loop, we cross the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/I-94) and enter River West and Goose Island where we eventually end.
