Close enough for real, the song "Ogentroost" (translated as something like "Comforting eyes/eyes of comfort") is the opening for a fire ritual Amenra made in Belgium 2 years ago where people put pieces of paper with their personal losses written down into a statue which was burned in a giant fire while the band played: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpXbpWasZpp-as0 Black's whole entrance is really thought through extremely well in every detail, i m very impressed. Of course they cannot take the full 12 minute song with the whole build up which would lead to Jim Ross being ceremoniously set on fire...

When I learned a pro wrestler had chosen Amenra as his theme song I had to watch it, and I'm not disappointed, this guy is just plain badass ! Already ordered 2 t-shirts of him (church of black and the fakes/snakes one), and it makes me want to watch wrestling again, just like in the good old days, starting for sure by some of this guy's old matchs video renditions. And goddamn to use this song as an entrance theme is the best choice since "ain't no grave" and the Wyatt family's one. Even reminds me of the Johnny Cash song, at least an electric and violent version of it. Same dark, heavy, religious/processional atmosphere, like some musical illustration of medieval "danses macabres" (dance of death?). Well I love when wrestlers have good tastes and use those tastes to build such badass characters rooted in their own personnality and obsessions.

No one saw it coming and the other superstars were shocked by it. He has tremendous talent as seen in NXT and future main eventer but they never gave him the chance. Now that he's in AEW, he will be treated better, booked properly and more creative control with the character as Malakai Black plus Cody putting him over in his debut match!! He wouldn't have it any other way. He will go far in AEW and win gold over there sometime next year

We can think of this in another way. If we put aside the storyline with Rollins,the pathetic way WWE treated him can be termed as infection as well. So in order to undo it,treat it,Black comes to AEW and chooses this song as his theme. Perfect resurrection. And ready for redemption ❤️
