Sir, as a solution to your last problem, where you turned the top of the table blue. Here's my solution. Please so tell me if it'll be fine. We can tie a rope across the legs of the table towards the top and make it as a base and underneath of table can serve as a stopper. Also, the moving structure across can be stabilized by tieing it with a rope from the other end with other structure. And form a bridge from rope from legs of table to stable part of moving structure.
