Ogimaa Knight: Authentic Little Monster (A Vigilants Original Audiobook & Speedpaint)

Vigilants is a series of inspiring stories set in a world where the most popular sport is a super-human fighting competition called ‘The Global Vigilants League’. Originally this was going to be a set of audiobooks or short novels that I planned to sell, but decided to make them free on KZbin instead! This third episode revolves around Ogimaa Knight, or just Ogi for short. His story, and his friend Akeru’s, revolve around being your authentic self and doing that both for yourself and to help others feel inspired to do the same.
Admittedly, this one has a bit less personal emotional weight behind it than the first two episodes. Authenticity is something I’ve been working on over the last few years, but I really just peppered in a bunch of my personal beliefs and views into this. I have a lot of respect for how indigenous people’s spiritual beliefs connect them to nature instead of the modern view that humans are separate from it. And on top of all of that, I just thought this concept was SICK! It’s inspired by both Pokemon and my original character Bio-Mech Kayla in my other series, Multiverse Tales. She has a sentient, robotic buddy named Charlie who can upgrade parts of her body and I wanted to do a more organic, monster based version of that!

This video reminds me of something that a speaker said when coming into the GSA. He said that to be fully comfortable in your body, you had to embrace you true self. This is a great little series you've started, even if only temporarily. That said, I'd love for it to not just be temporary, I'd like it to continue. I think this one is my favorite of the three, as someone who loves and has a connection to nature himself, this one speaks to me. I also liked Markus' story. I think it's really important to be able to exist naturally with just yourself, and to be happy in that state. Again, really loving this, PLEASE keep it going, there's a lot you could do with it I think.

This was incredible. I always enjoy seeing your Multiverse Tales and Original Story videos. Especially your lore themed videos, since they are a favourite of mine and I've been really enjoying you adding more layers of intrigue to your ever expanding story. So seeing you give us a new original story called VIGILANTS is incredible. I especially love how Ogimaa Knight looks. Ogimaa’s look gives off a cool and mighty warrior appearance mixed with a master swordsman who just emanates a unique sense of power as well as someone who went from simple person to elite combatant and warriro and who's willing to use his abilities to reenforce the definition of a paragon of honour that will always rise to the challenge...plus I just love how his cool powers (specifically how he can use mystical animal companion) makes him more of a badass and looks like someone I want on my side in a fight and she seems to be an intriguing individual. This is absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to see more videos where you draw more VIGILANTS characters and see how they intersect with the others in Multiverse Tales…especially the Sharp Gang. It would be interesting to see you do more things with Ogimaa Knight; maybe turning him into a superhero, or dragon, or create an SCP based off of him, or even as armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas for Karter. It was also great to hear this cool original story with some outstanding characters and I can’t wait to see what you do with them in the future. This definitely adds more perspective and just adds more levels to this already outstanding story. I also can’t wait to see how Ogimaa’s story continues in these videos. Things are starting to get intense now with this new story. I’m also looking forward to the other two videos today because not only will it include some more amazing videos, but it’s also my birthday today…so I can’t think of a better birthday present than watching some outstanding PopCross Studio videos. This third of a trilogy of videos today was an outstanding gift to watch on my birthday. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video. The flying mist creature that the friend first bonded with using the band sounds like a creature I would naturally bond with. Or another water based creature. Water is the element in nature I feel most connected to and from a young age I also felt flying would be awesome.

Ogi is new favourite character! I love him so much! And the whole biounite concept is so cool to me! I don't live in a hot place, but I'm very fortunate to live somewhere surrounded by nature! And be right between rocky beaches, and pine forests! I really felt the message of connecting with nature, and some of my fondest memories are of having my mum take me on hikes, walks, and camping! I definitely feel I came across as very brash like Ogi as a child as well, probably another reason I love this episode so much😁

This is a great series! I think Spark’s might have been my favourite, but I love the other two as well! I really love how you approach deep topics with your lore, like fear, depression, trauma, etc. That causes me to wonder, how might Skinner cope with getting his mind back? He is a part of the team, but feels like he’s lacking the most in personality, besides his Symbiote. Maybe some sort of conversation or backstory? Anyways, well done!

I have watched all of these and the idea of two clear stories happening in this new world is amazing. They have topics that overlap but can stay the own unique stories. I want to see more of Karter and Freya while at the same time learning more about what a bio knight is and how Ogi and Akeru turn the modern beliefs on their head with their true bonds. I would say even if you didn’t do this format with the Vigilantes world, like using it with the Sharp Gang or just other stories, it would be fun ways to add little bits of lore and art that can be more action packed like with what you did with the Fear Herself story from Friday. Whether you continue this format, adding it to your usual style or just continue what you usually do, keep up the amazing art and stories and can’t wait for 5 PM EST on Mondays and Fridays for what you share with us.

For Off-Topic Suggestions, I would LOVE to see my Signature Wished and Wanted Suggestion, Dinosaurs(like a Tyrannosaurus Rex mixed with either a Deviljho, Safi'Jiiva, or Fatalis to be an Elder-Dino-Dragons) as Dino-Dragons of the Badlands! I REALLY want to see Tyrantrum, Walking Wake(the Paradox Suicune Saurian Pokemon), Naganadel, Baxcalibur, and Charizard as SCPs in the NEW Pokemon SCP Universe! As well as SCP-682 as a T-Rex/Indominus Rex/Ultimasaurus and Crocosquid as a Godzilla Monster/Kaiju! a mist hawk grants a sense the life of the waters in the air to the one that has a bond to the mist hawk. this bond gives a set of wings as light as a coastal fog. with these wings the host can heal others as if they were but a scratch from a small rose. on her 17th birthday Misa Coral was walking along a creek bed as she saw a wounded hawk on the waters edge. Misa felt a strong pull to care for this hawk was if they would fly together when the hawk was all better.

Love this series and really looking forward to seeing more! I think either a canine or feline inspired Biunite would be interesting, given the different body styles both species have (big and bulky or small and scrawny, technically, but imagination is a powerful thing.)

Awesome! I particularly liked Akura in this one! I’d love to see more of him, as well as Sparks, Karter, and Ogi! As for which animal is like to see… Assuming these characters make a team, we have one striker (Sparks), one tank (Akura), one blaster (Ogi), and a leader/wildcard (Karter). I think we need a support character. Also, with Biunite’s being primarily for unpowered people, I’m curious what one might be like on a powered person. So for a support/healing character’s Biunite, how about an axolotl? They are considered some of the best healers in the world, regrowing limbs they’ve lost. Though, I personally would love to see a Snake or an Archerfish. Snakes often represent healing in mythology, and healing via acid like chemicals could be cool! My other thought is with an Archerfish, they could heal via shooting creatures with a type of goo, though that’s pretty similar to Jake. I’d love to see Karter’s former love interest on the team, finding a biunite, and realizing Karter doesn’t need her to be happy, and in turn, she can drop the anxiety she was carrying about leaving him. Anyway, that’s my bid for the next team member and Biunite!

NGL, good sir, Ogi kinda reminds me of myself in my elementary days. Ogi's the type of kid who has this energetic and enthusiastic personality that no one seems to understand and everyone thinks they're downright weird. But now that i'm at my teens and looking back at my energetic youth, yeah i'm still that weird. Though i'm a bit wiser and more sociable. BTW, if i were to be asked what animal i'd like to see as a biunite. Maybe a Komodo Dragon that spits electricity. Think of it as Godzilla, but with Ghidora's abilities, and walks in all-fours like Anguirus.
