ABOUT ME
- I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
- I was born in November of 1983 and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
- "OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
- I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
- My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
- Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

I really think that its a JYP thing because we can all agree that JYP has one of the best dancers in the kpop industry not just individuals but as a group its self for example groups like TWICE,GOT7,ITZY,2PM,MISS A and many more.... They are known as LEGENDS in kpop especially in the dance industry. Fun fact: Itzy filmed a 2020 ver. of Dalla Dalla dance practice in honor of 200M mv views. In this 2020 version, they changed up the choreo in Chaeryeong's part before the "malijima" because many fans were concerned for their safety in the original choreo. Please watch the original dance practice to see Itzy's raw talent during their debut days. They're amazing.

@@zerenityzerene4410 In the original choreo, the girls had their hands on the ground while moving their heads clockwise. It concerned fans especially during their music show stages because it could lead to some serious accidents (hitting their head on the ground if their hands slipped, etc.)

I found Itzy through a Dalla Dalla Tiktok dance challenge which led me to their dance practice and then the official video for Dalla Dalla and then their award/variety show performances. I totally planned to solo stan them as I was not into kpop at the time but their love for fellow kpop artists like their sisters Twice, Taemin, etc. led me to check out those artists and the genre -now I'm obsessed. I love them they're powerful, beautiful, hilarious, so talented and kind. They'll always be my beloved queens. 💛

Being that this was their debut song/MV - JYP 'drilled' this dance to make sure it was PERFECTLY SYNCHRONIZED! One thing about JYP, is he really emphasizes and stresses out the dances - making sure every detail is performed precisely! Their are videos of him drilling this dance with them. Itzy was created with the mindset to tackle the US market.
