I was so very fortunate to be present at this talk by him. In fact, i even stood outside the church with him before it began, chatting about things. He was a wonderful, gentle human being. A couple years later i even received a hand-typed, personal letter from him signed (in red ink) Love, OG. Dated, December 18, 1987. It hangs proudly on my wall, to this day.

“I will not give up until I succeed. I did not come to this world to be defeated, and defeat does not flow in my veins. Nor am I a sheep waiting to be herded by the shepherd. I am a lion and I also refused to walk, talk and sleep with sheep. I will not give up until I succeed.” Og Mandino

I feel like our souls connected in some way, ever since I first heard that lovely man I knew I found gold. Og is with me everyday, I remind myself his saying “don’t take yourself too seriously” when I make a big deal out of little things. This too shall pass. Thank you Og Mandino! P.S He has the most pleasant voice I've ever heard

Thank you for sharing this inspiring talk. It is extremely important for everyone to relearn and rethink the method to succeed especially in the era of big data and globalization, and ask ourselves: what is the Successology of the 21st century?

6:12 We're consuming more beer now per capita than any other time in U.S. history 7:23 Most important "secret" of success is that life is a game, spiritual and holy, and you need to know the rules to win 7:54 Nobody taught us the rules of how to set goals, motivate ourselves and others, handle adversity, use our time, get rid of bad habits, accumulate wealth, handle stress 8:22 Most people become spectators 9:25 #1 Reading can work miracles 9:39 Carlyle: what we become depends on what we read. The greatest University is a collection of books 10:09 You'll be the same person except for the people you meet and the books you read 10:46 Instead of watching TV, try reading 11:15 Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, Maxwell Maltz, Dorothy ?, W Clement Stone 12:09 #2 You can never make progress until you appreciate the assets you already possess 12:46 Realize how valuable and precious you are 13:25 95% of the world's population would gladly give up 20 years of their lives to trade places with you 13:35 How much is your freedom worth to you? How much would you take to give up the people you love? How much would you sell your eyes, hands, and feet for? You're actually quite wealthy aren't you? 15:47 #3 You don't know how good you are.
