I remember when everybody was talking about: "Pathfinder" (the other side of this vinyl). Then this side was played at the big events in Holland. The rest is History ...still love this tune💣💣

All this stuff before digital music production really had depth to it.

And this is digital as well ;) There is nothing to do analog vs digital. It is just that hard trance is not mainstream anymore and morphed into modern day hardstyle bs. Even hardstyle as it initially was is not anymore what it should be. Today mainstream bs is mostly done soley in computer. But it doesnt mean that in older times production was not in the box. It was, but the understanding of good electronic music is absolutely different for wide audience. That is why we dont meet often such tracks like this. I even dont listen most of the hard trance made after 2005, so I get your point. 👍

@@Eametsa Yeah, well I prefer old school tracks. New hardsyle is just not my taste. So different times, different music.

I wonder how this track and tracks like these are made, compared to today's production type

Hardware synths (Access Virus, Roland JP, Nord Lead etc), FX units like Yamaha Rev500, compressors/limiters. Maybe Akai samplers for kicks and samples, lot's of basslines (reverse bass) were sampled from other tracks and were treated with distortion, EQ or whatever. Also a mixing desk, computers were more for MIDI data. Some people used Atari, some Macintosh and PC, when time went on computers become more powerful and were used more for audio processing and eventually first VST's came along in early 00's.

@@rainerkofficial Hello Rainer K. You are doing great stuff. Fellow Estonian here. Have you got any idea how Hennes & Cold bassline was made in First Step, Sound of Rock etc. I know it is reverse bass, but I mean the sound, when you listen closely only the bassline it so distinct that there must be multiple layers of sound or is it just processed with slight reverb that gives this slightly deep but melodic bassline?
