I also wonder about the whole storytelling aspect of their culture. Like I know it is just a good cinematic direction but the part were the smoke becomes scenes of fighting ogres, is pretty representative of the whole fire side story part of their culture. Tall tales around the camps fire is pretty much the closest thing to education for an ogre besides a beating and a Reputation mechanic I think would be welcome for their campaign, mostly because an intimidating reputation is pretty much the only thing they respect besides brute force.

Ogres are my favorite race. Ogres are imo the best race. If CA abandons Ogres, CA Devs will be eaten till the Great Maw is satisfied. Seriously though I've played tabletop ogres since release and have been waiting patiently for them since day one of Total War Warhammer 1. When I and many others guessed they would be the pre-order bonus my heart sank. Looking at the treatment for Warriors of Chaos, and Norsca, I hope they aren't just left to rot. I really hope if they don't plan to go back they give them everything and throw a FLC lord or 2 their way.

I'm not trying to sound like a corporate shill, but I am curious, what exactly is the ethical dilemma with giving pre order races DLC? I mean, would we NOT be happy with a DLC for either Norsca or the Warriors of Chaos? Don't get me wrong, I would love it if it was done through an FLC over a DLC, and I would understand the backlash if it was an early DLC, than yea, that would be fucked up, but if enough time passes, like it has for Norsca and WoC, and I would even say, too much time has passed, I would have no problem with a Norsca or WoC DLC, and as long as enough time has passed, so that we can reasonably assume it wasn't held back just for DLC, I don't see a problem with giving Ogres DLC or getting free lord's and such.

I really don't believe that will happen this time around. Norsca and CW were both in a unique situation since we all knew game 3 was going to be Chaos central. They purposefully steered from reworking them imo, knowing they were going to be reworked in game 3 when all of chaos is unleashed at the same time. To me that makes the most sense and I don't disagree with them waiting for game 3 to give all of chaos love.

Most likely it will just be a faction mechanic, but I would love it if its an actual location on map that does something if the zone is controlled. Other than maybe the black pyramid I don't think 1 and 2 had any locations that did anything differently than 'just another city with maybe a passive buff building' and it would be interesting if there were 'key locations' scattered around the map that added mechanics players could push for

This releases on my birthday. I never make a thing of my birthday and tend not to acknowledge it, but I may make a big deal of it this year because of how exciting this is. Tww is, imo, one of the best, most replayable games period. I got into warhammer miniatures like 6 months ago and Ogors are one of my dozen or so 2k+ armies. I plan to gain 250lbs and eat solely gross meats to perfect my ogor costime for my bday. My wife has tried to discourage me because I took out a 300% interest loan to afford my reverse liposuction and to afford adopting the children I plan to starve so they look like gnoblars. I will have these kids carry me around on a howdah. I think she is wrong to try and crush my dreams. I am just trying to make the world brighter with my handsome ogor costume and adopt children and give them a home under my howdah (but not food until they fulfill my costume dreams. I'm so gonna get her cancelled for trying to silence me.

Guess I'm not particularly concerned at the lack of "centerpiece" monsters: the whole point of Ogres is that their basic troop ARE big monster bois themselves. That should be where the focus is. Any big monsters in the roster should be peripheral support.

A large section of ogre lore is devoted to their beast tamers, who tame essentially everything that doesn't kill them upon attempting. This includes large monsters such as the thundertusk, yhetees, or the stonehorn, as depicted in the marketing.

To some extend I understand the grief of those, who have been waiting for almost 6 years to see OK, their favourite race. And even I am now a bit hyped to witness them in all their glory. My guess is the Skragg the Slaughter will have spells from the Lore of the Great Maw and the Lore of Death which will make him a very versatile spellcaster. If his mechanics are as they are in 8th edition then any Gorgers in his army, which will likely be part of his starting roster, will be utterly hideous in melee. Personally I want to see Ghark Ironskin as a Legendary Lord. He would be an outright powerhouse melee character that can not only dish out the hurt, but take it as well and still keep going.

Got to agree with you there at 7:27. If you look at Greasus's eyes when the belch turns into a growl you can almost see a cunning intelligence in there. Of course, that could just be me seeing things.
