Fair enough. In turn, Lithuanians can stop appropriating Polish (or Polish-Lithuanian) historical figures such as Adam Mickiewicz as their own.
@cringe102011 ай бұрын
@@adammarszalec9910Mickiewicz was an Old Lithuanian so the Neolithuanians should decide if they will see themselves as the heirs of pagan Lithuania or the multiethnic Grand Duchy of Lithuania which is the shared heritage of Poles, Neolithuanians and Belarusians. I am in favour of sharing this heritage but Neolithuanians must come to terms with the fact the GDL was also Belarusian and that Lithuanianess wasn't bound to ethnicity (to an extent it's the same with Polishness, Mickiewicz had mostly exclusively Ruthenian ancestors)

To me as a Serb, it has much the same effect as say, Albanian or Romanian. There are familiar elements that just "click" and make sense, but there is so much that is so different, but again different in certain ways which seem to be cut from the same cloth. In my case, it is because of centuries lived together in the same geographic area, while in the case of Lithuania and Latvia it also has an element of shared ancestral heritage.
