I don't think it's random knowledge, to me he's obviously a thinker, and has a vast array of things he finds interesting, and he probably reads a lot.

He reads a lot. On a Japan interview he said. When he was a kid, he used to collect books even books that are for adult (, books that are not on child's level yet) and he has won awards for reading books the most in the library on highschool I think

Yoongi do a lot of reading online/ book, he's the type of person who loves to consume random knowledge he finds online. And he remembers them. I read a lot of things too but i dont tend to remember them, maybe its bcs yoongi always pop this "ya! Do you know that......" and just share his trivia knowledge any time he thought of it with the members 😂😂

Bangtan men read a lot. I’ve seen several vids of them reading, like in the background, at airports, even while having hair and make up done, etc. They also have a reading list of books they recommend. That’s also why they have really deep lyricism because of vast knowledge from different sources.

Yoongi reads a lot and he has many different interests. Even when he was talking about his surgery he used medical terms and explained everything very professional

Yoongi is not a person with random knowledge but rather a deep thinker and has vast knowledge of everything...more old soul! He speaks from the heart and everything he says is deep & meaningful..! No wonder he's a great composer & producer...lyrical genius!😍😍😍😍😍😍

Yoongi is seriously so intelligent and he has a lot of knowledge about various different topics. I think he once said he does calculus when he is bored.

I think I'm a bit like him when it comes to stuff like this. When I get curious about something, I immediately search it up and if I get shocked or like have an epiphany moment, that piece of information stays in my brain even though it's something so random. Sometimes my friends or family ask something which triggers a memory so it seems like I just have random pieces of information stored in my brain.

if i get a chance to interview bts, i'd definitely ask yoongi how does he know little facts about almost anything. i'm actually intrigued like does his mind go "what happens to this thing" and read abt it for an hour or he has a book about those kind of stuff

I love this! I have known someone like this - many people say that it is eidetic memory, but it isn't, it is an ability to use free association to remember things, it's a wonderful talent to have. These guys seem to just remember everything they hear or see even if it's only once. Unfortunately sometimes the initial exposure to the information is incorrect, and this is how they will remember it, usually.

Yoongi said in one of his V lives that he spends a lot of his time on his phone reading about random articles. You can actually see it in most of BTS behind videos, Yoongi will mostly be in the back being serious reading on his phone. I think it's so endearing lol.
