Love Nordvang stuff I’ve tried but 400$ for a Chase Bliss pedal is one thing. 400$ for analog dirt & boost seems like another. He’s got that Mayer crowd though so…good for him! Great builder. Will hopefully get to trade for one of these in 5 years.

I know what you mean. The analog Chase Bliss pedals are closer to 600 though. The eggs I bought today were 6 euros. I withdrew money from my savings account just to fill up my car and be able to take my kids places. We’re fckd. If you don’t have a blues breaker yet and also need a boost this a decent deal. Alright, back to work and munching on stale bread ❤️

Sounds great but when it comes to straight up analogue drive pedals, it's all been done many times over. Look around and you will find several existing, lower cost pedals that sound 100% identical. Good luck if they can sell loads but the BB circuit has already been perfected so this is nothing new at all.

@@SashaIvantic ik heb net de demo gehoord van de parallel amp en pff dit is wel een heel lekkere amp , wel prijzig ( vooral met de invoerrechten ect . erbij ) , maar ja , een class A amp van 25 W is wel een "dream come true " .

The Van Laeck amps are awesome! Some months ago I tested a Kauffmann Guitars stratocaster at Guitarking in Boekel. And I play over the Van Laeck Bluesmeister amp, it was amazing! :-D nice fet boost also, and great depth in the reverb. I bought the Kauffmann, but missed the Van Laeck Bluesmeister ever since ;-)

Consumers wanted the pedals. They got them. We all forgot collectively it's about making music. And it's nothing new. Drive pedals have been doing the same thing for the past 60 years: clip your signal. Pedal brands do what any brand does. Coca Cola or Pepsi? McDonalds or Burger King?

@@SashaIvantic I think consumers were attracted and influenced by the possibility of sounding like the reviewers but reality didn’t match. Josh Smith nailed the nonsense with his white box series, bad monkey furore and the self build ‘not a klon’. Hype sells more pedals than need does.

Some pedals are hyped. No doubt about it. But not these. I own several and just ordered this one. Sasha makes everything sound good, but these do sound good all on their own.

@@robertstabley8323 My point being, does the guitar world need or even want/have asked for another identical circuit? I’m not arguing build quality, just endless repetition to also justify insane price rises.
