A heartfelt personal appeal to restore the Arts to the Olympic Games (which had previously been included from 1912 all the way up to 1952, including creative entries in painting, sculpture, music, singing, poetry, architecture, etc.)

Thank you Mark. I'll keep pushing out the message until congregations in the 50,000 or so churches in Britain again start singing this beautiful 1967 hit that made it to no.4 in the charts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5eqdal6fKpqsM0 ""Oh Happy Day" is a 1967 gospel music arrangement of the 1755 hymn[1] by clergyman Philip Doddridge. Recorded by the Edwin Hawkins Singers, it became an international hit in 1969, reaching No. 4 on the US Singles Chart, No. 1 in France, Germany, and the Netherlands and No. 2 on the Canadian Singles Chart, UK Singles Chart, and Irish Singles Chart. It has since become a gospel music standard, selling over 7 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling gospel song of all time."

@@Madan1959 Now I never knew any of that Madan. Some things are meant to be. A pleasure - have a great or should I say 'happy day.'

@@WyeExplorer It can be done, Mark, just by thoughtful co-operation, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Just this one song, sung loud and worldwide in a mood of loving unity, inclusive of all faiths, could bring the possibility of world peace a great deal closer. =:-)

@@Madan1959 Oh, it could happen and be a reality Madan I agree. It's just that the system is dense and penetrating it would take a great deal of energy or love. We don't stop though and continue our quest.
