I'm writing this as I watch the video, so sorry it's so long. Don't get downtrodden by a period of instability, mate. Sounds like you've got something akin to writer's block, or maybe your brain is telling you that you get most enjoyment out of creating big projects which is why you always end up putting so much effort in instead of just being ok with putting out smaller, regular content which is obviously better for KZbin. I feel like all creative types go through this at some point, so don't worry too much over it. For now, just keep trying new things and see what sticks. Just like the chillcoms, maybe you'll try something that you didn't like at first but ends up being huge for you. If you are getting more of a kick out of bigger videos/projects, then absolutely keep striving for those, change is really good and gives us fresh perspective. But at the same time, don't be afraid to play around with some smaller ideas too. Treat this feeling as an opportunity for growth, instead of something that is keeping you from doing what you want. Also, don't think of yourself as a failure... We all face this bullshit of not knowing what the fuck we're doing, especially in the early years, and as long as you're doing your best to navigate that, that's all that anyone can ask of you. You'll only be a failure if you let a period of uncertainty or other external sources stop you from doing what you want. The more you think of yourself as a failure, the more true it will become, so shake yourself right out of that headspace! Regarding feeling like you need to obsessively edit everything, it's good that you're being introspective so you can keep tabs on what's going on in your mind but too much of that will just end up making you paranoid. Perhaps there's been a few too many dickheads like myself in the comments pointing out flaws in your videos and it's put you on edge about making mistakes. However you do it, whether it's through meditation, smoking some weed or just having a stern word with yourself in the mirror, you gotta find a way to stop being so worried about what other people think. The KZbin channel is about you, and it's about making money. Fuck what some epic gamer internet commenters like myself think. Of course your videos are gonna be flawed and you're gonna make mistakes, because you're human! You can't constantly hold yourself to a standard of perfection or you'll just continue to let yourself down and the self hatred will begin. Instead of that, use the flaws and mistakes to keep improving every time and you'll naturally come closer to that impossible "perfection." You're also maybe putting too much pressure on yourself in terms of "I have to keep improving and get better numbers than last year" etc. There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve but holding yourself to that standard will only make the whole thing collapse in on itself. Chin up, lad.
