I was thinking the same. There's a few insane straight to floor bumps in this reel that are just unreal. I have mixed feelings about them really - the 15 yo kid in me is "fuckyeah!" but the adult in me worries that these performers are destroying themselves. Hopefully they all have Jack Evans levels of indestructibility

@@tmk8612 Exactly my feelings. I used to like watching deathmatches and seeing guys come up with new spots but that was 20 years ago and the pain the guys put themselves through has not only increased during all those years but actively continues to demand more. Hard to watch.

And I don't wanna go "full Cornette", but I can't help but think that it isn't great from a storytelling perspective that spots that legit SHOULD maim are just happening in the middle of matches like they're no big thing? Kenta Kobashi did the Burning Hammer a handful of times as the finish to huuuuge main event matches. Now we're getting unprotected reverse hurracanrana head bumps to the floor as mid-match transitions! Hard to see where workers can go from here. "First Paralysis Match", anyone?

@@tmk8612 Well, wrestler deaths tell a grim tale overall throughout the decades. Lots of drug overdoses, suicides, trouble with law. It does to some degree come with the sport. Some workers are safe/professional enough to do stuff like that properly 99.9% of the time, but then there's a lot of green guys putting their lives in the hands of each other leading to injuries that fans don't even hear of often. As a teenager I didn't realize the injuries the guys were putting themselves through, only having grown a bit can I see more clearly how bad it really is. Yet the pain is also one of the things that keeps me watching, so it's not that simple either.
