Good God Almighty !!!! I've wrestled before and there is no way in hell I would do a dropkick from the top rope to the floor taking a back bump like I believe was Toyota did there ! How that didn't knock her soul out of her body I will never know . She was one tough wrestler .

Manami Toyota was doing insane spots before they were cool 👍
@Alsebra8 ай бұрын
When you realize she has held her own with the likes of Aja Kong and Bull Nakano (two other legends of joshi puroresu), you realize just how tough a competitor she really is...and then you learn that the last time she wrestled Aja (for example), it was 2017 and both ladies were in their later 40s...and they still were able to tell a hell of a story in the ring. Just so you can tell them apart, Manami Toyota is wearing the black singlet and was the one using the straightjacket bridging electric chair pin in the later clips (that's the best explanation of that maneuver that I can attempt, lol).

I also liked the little temper tantrum kick she gave to the young boy that failed to catch her on the flip dive later on

I'm honestly surprised Toyota lasted long enough to be old and retired
@Alsebra8 ай бұрын
@@dylanconnelly9845, PCO is already past that point...not only has he been wrestling since 1987, he's been doing it with 50% (at most) of his vision (a pellet gun accident at age 12 caused him to lose sight in his right eye). Many of the bumps he's taken over the years would've been hell with full vision...and he's doing it with no hesitation.
@bibitiptoes14738 ай бұрын
@@AlsebraAs a person with very bad eyesight on only one eye since birth, I can tell you that's not how it works. If your healthy eye has 100% vision on it, you can see everything just fine and read small font, drive, etc. Your eyesight doesn't get magically worse when you close just one eye, doesn't it? The only nuisance in life is watching movies in 3D, because that trick doesn't really work for people like us.

ok i don't mind the big dives onto a crowd of wrestlers but my god 9:16 just seeing them group up for it and watch Cartwheel do it at the same times takes you and some of the magic out of it
@TrolledBy8 ай бұрын
The gimmick of the whole match was every single move being a canadian destroyer. It's quite a stretch to assume there was any magic in that match to begin with. Apart from the ref doing it and Gringo Locos beautiful execution of the manoeuver that ended the match.

I love almost every one of these spots but I hated the destroyer ending from GCW, the first five destroyers all looked vicious but I hate the spots where they have like 10 dudes all huddle up for a big dive, they just end up looking awkward no matter how good the dive or spot into it looks, the huddling just looks so out of place in a match
@carlvijublicry49038 ай бұрын
That poor asian girl never got her receipt. That missile drop kick to the floor was all first move adrenaline. I broke my arm with a top rope guillotine leg drop on my first ever offensive maneuver in the ring, its a real thing.
@stevemagdaleno97598 ай бұрын
Can we all agree that the Canadian Destroyer, or Destroyer in general, is the most overused, pointless move in wrestling these days? I’d say it’s surpassed the super kick by this point. Literally EVERYONE does it, they never finish the match and have become transition spots that mean nothing.
@MajinThe1ne7 ай бұрын
I mean it's common and it's really exciting move but people do use it over to much but it's better then just getting drop kicked or super kicked the Canadian destroyer just shows a little more athletic in indy wrestlers but that's just my opinion

NGL, some of these spots cause me legit fear for the future health and safety of these “boys and girls.” Getting slammed onto ladders, thumbtacks, chairs, tables, barbed wire, glass and the hard right angle of the ring apron…YIKES! Great respect over here, from a lifelong wrestling fan with living memory of Terry Funk (RIP), Bruno Sammartino (RIP) and Nick Bockwinkel (RIP) as NWA, WWWF and AWA champions respectively. Take care of yourselves, you crazy kids! Okay?🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
