@@zanethind I wouldn't bet on it. Nakamura's IC title reign was a farce (he _almost never defended it_ FFS!) and if we're being honest, they only had Ricochet beat Sami Zayn for it to get the belt off Zayn so they don't find themselves in a David Arquette situation when Johnny Knoxville humiliates him at WrestleMania. Great video. I do wish some of these Indy shows would practice their camera work so as to avoid angles showing obvious co-operation. You can't do much about the guys (and girls) learning 'bad habits' - but the you can at least avoid emphasing it.

It was B.J. Whitmer versus Jimmy Jacobs, and Jacobs is the one whose head hits the turnbuckle. I remember this spot, it was brutal, but I don't think it's anywhere close to the worst botch in wrestling history.
@ArcaneAzmadi2 жыл бұрын
@@StefanWB Maybe the worst _looking_ botch in wrestling history, because the human body is a funny thing and can be badly damaged from very innocuous-looking bumps, or conversely can withstand horrific impacts with barely a bruise to show for it, depending. But this isn't even in contention for the actual worst botch in history because nobody _actually died._

I used to like videos as these but I realize my folly as a wrestling fan. videos like these show that wrestling nowadays simply hitting the big move so the fans can say wow. it is no longer about matches making sense, looking like a fight, building tension, building suspense, trying to get the fans emotionally involved, and having fans looking forward to another match. the irony is that today's pro wrestlers played video games that try to simulate pro wrestling and now they are making pro wrestling look like it's simulating pro wrestling video games. there's no selling. everything looks choreographed. it's just one step after another. well really sucks is it the fans really don't even care after the first couple of seconds of when the wrestler hits their move. if you compare the pops of how pro wrestling matches were then and have they are now it is night and day. wrestlers had bigger and more sustained pops just walking out to the ring or making a gesture and or how they walked. didn't have to kill themselves as they do now.

If you are talking about Mike Bailey's Shooting Star Double Kneedrop. I've shown it like three or four times through 9 videos. Once was from a standing position where he landed directly on the guys chest knees first. Then you hand 2 clips being from this video and the one on Walter which the point was that he had to do the rotation much quicker because the opponent was elevated. And this was a team spot which was much different. The fourth one was about how quick he got from the mat to the rope to pull it off. So, my suggestion to you would be to pay attention to the context instead of putting everything into a box and focusing on just the move.
