I believe this period of the season is the start of Vettel’s downfall. The amount of strategic mistakes since the start of the season made him drove abruptly in order to recover those mistakes, but in end it made him lost more points overall. Russia was the only race Ferrari’s strategy got it right for the whole season, even the commentators said it themselves. Every race but Australia, Vettel has lost at least 1 position to either Verstappen or Bottas. Also Vettel qualified 9th in Japan because Ferrari misinterpreted the weather and ended up putting inters on a dry track. By the time they changed it back to drys, it’s already too late. He was in contention of pole and could possibly win, so you can imagine the frustration to an already frustrated and angry Vettel.
