The preamp gain is beautiful at bedroom volume but when you crank it up with a band the power amp gain kicks in on the master and really makes you appreciate how perfect this amp is. Sooo dynamic.

The guitarist is the highlight of this video. The amp is by all means probably a quality product. But, it's a posh copy of a copy of a copy that is priced out of reach for most people that watch this channel without going in debt more than they actually need too. Appreciate your quality demo of the product, LOVED the playing more.

A set up China Squire Tele with a $500 Fender blues Jr and a couple of good pedals will get all this all day for under a grand total.

@@youropionmattersnot No it will not. It sounds great and you can get the recorded tone close no doubt. However the room sound and especially the feel does not exist anywhere near the $1000 mark. I've been playing 45+ years, and wasted too much money, on pedals, amps, modelers, profilers, pickups, guitars, etc., etc.. in all of that time. The truth? If you only play for fun, or to impress your friends, or only play one type of music and just need an amp that does 'metal', you're right. Otherwise, what you're saying is really false economy, based on a short term expense. What Amplified Nation is making is pretty incredible, to the point where I've started listing my current amps and pedals for sale (not the KTR's), in order to get just one of their amps. It's all I'll need. 🎸

I'm sure you're right, and don't get me wrong, modellers are great. But I think this a flawed approach... If you AB a meal cooked with different pans and knives you likely won't taste a difference - but those choices mattered to the chef.
@pnwdrifter56808 ай бұрын
@@mattc1176 that's an interesting way of looking at it. As a player, with ears, I'd say you are the chef and the patron in the restaurant. To me it's not necessarily tube vs model, but other factors. If you are in a live band, covering multiple styles, a Katana Mk2 Artist is so obviously the better choice. If I was recording tones, and wanted that chef authenticity, the amp demoed would be great choice. Now what is the price differential? 😁
@TeleCaster668 ай бұрын

@pnwdrifter56808 ай бұрын
@@TeleCaster66 Well, that's a bold claim. There is always a comparison. Is Gibson better than Fender? PRS better than who? Certainly the price tag is miles above the Katana. I'm not denying that the AN-W is a nice sounding amp. I'd like to get one. $3500 USD vs $570 USD. Now that is a comparison. 6x the price. Opportunity cost is having almost $3000 to spend on other gear. Most of us aren't "money no object".
