I won't spend one dollar more than necessary in a red state. I'd already stopped vacationing in places that don't respect my right to use cannabis. I live in Nova Scotia. All US alcohol is off the shelves in our stores. Newfoundland Ontario and other provinces have also done this. Canadians nationwide are boycoytting US products. At the grocery store today everyone was reading labels and putting American products back on the shelf.

But there are pockets of unusual climate in several parts of the country. Today we will deal with a couple starting with the only desert in Canada and two little towns at each end called Oliver and Osoyoos. The desert is about 20 miles along and features everything you would expect including cactus, rattlesnakes, scorpions and back widows. It also has, what do you know, palm trees. There is a massive native resort in Osoyoos where sunseekers from Europe, the USA and the rest of Canada flock for the warm water lake and very hot summers (lived there 15 years, I like winters so we ended up moving to Alberta). The golf courses close in late November and are generally open by late February. Snowfall can be as little as 5-6 inches annually. The long growing season provides a fountain of fruits (grapes, berries, apples, peaches, pears), ground crops and renowned wineries. Welcome to the South Okanagan Valley. And now for Nova Scotia and the Annapolis Valley. Not as warm as the South Okanagan, the area is still much warmer than average. Where I live the temperature was -35 C today, The valley rarely sees temperatures below -5 C. Another area that grows a ton of fruits and vegetables and has wineries. Solar power is a big deal there because they get steady amounts of sunshine. The Annapolis Valley benefits from the Gulfstream that comes up from the Gulf Of Mexico. Lived there too, I know my country. Are they as consistently hot as Florida or California, no. Do they have massive Palmetto Bugs (Florida) and cockroaches, no. Oh I did live in the States for a couple of years as well, Florida and Michigan. Really hated it and got transferred home. You might want to get better sources for your information. What you have presented is hilariously narrow in scope and simply wrong most of the time.

Most of what you sell us has many producers who won't give us any drama. I haven't bought an American product since Trump's little tantrum on NAFTA in 2019, hasn't affected me a bit. The most irreplaceable thing you sell is your digital media, thank goodness for Netflix eh (I prefer Britbox myself). What we sell is rather rare and in demand everywhere. We liked selling it to our buds, but if you want to walk away, I am pretty sure Canada can suck it up for a couple of years while we change suppliers and customers. Very easy solution :). It's not like we don't have about 40 countries in Free Trade deals available. Oh wait, we do. The EU, TPP, most of South America, most of Central America, Mexico obviously, South Korea, Israel and the Ukraine. All done over the last decade. Trump managed, let me total this up, zero free trade deals and 2 minor (and I mean really minor, your CBO called them "barely a trade deal") with Japan and South Korea. Look up "Operation Yellow Ribbon" or what Ken Taylor did in Iran in 1979. Tell me that those two events can be easily duplicated without Canada. Americans like to beat their chests and tell us they protect us. But there has never been an actual event in which you did protect us. Can't say the same about Canada, when you were in need, we were there. First, as always. But if you want to give this all up for a guy who is lying about everything (trade deficit is nowhere close to 200 billion, check your government trade website. .2% of the Fentanyl that comes into the USA went through Canada, your government's 2024 report on Fentanyl mentioned Mexico 86 times, Canada 0. 1.5% of your irregular immigrants came in through Canada) well I guess it will be time to split.

I’m loving watching Canada sit down and be rational about everything. We have essentially paused our internal squabbles for now about politics and we have unified to state that we are a sovereign country and we won’t be pushed around by a tyrannical dictator who doesn’t hold power over us. Many have reached out to their neighbour, people are actually looking at items in the grocery store to ensure they’re Canada made, and every person is booing American influence in the country. British Columbia NARROWLY avoided loosing to a Conservative Majority.
