Even if this gun had legendarily good soft stats and 0.15 accuracy, it still wouldn't make up for the fact that 230 alpha is just bad.

The low alpha kills the tank. While you shoot a tank for 230 they will shoot for anywhere from 320 to 650. Sure the dpm is great but the opportunity to use the dpm is very rare now days. Its not a heavy tank its more like a medium. Its a perfect demonstration that dpm is not super important. With out deacent alpha dpm means nothing.

My biggest issue with this tank is the low shell count. 50 rounds of ammo is just too low for the rate of fire that you have, combined with the pretty low alpha. Also, the shell cost is insanely high (680), so that will eat into your potential profits, though that's a general issue with the 20pdr guns....

Caernarvon Action X is a tank that I'm terrified of facing. And im even, acording to WGs classification (lol), a "legend III". Probably one of the tier 8s that causes me the most difficulty, mainly due to the precise cannon and high DPM. You may even win, but he will crush you too, giving you a pyrrhic victory.

It’s a hull down monster with terrible turret armor. Load heat or any high pen round, and you’ll go straight through the turret. Honestly if they just buffed the turret to the point that it would be unpennable and leave the weakpoint on top, i think the tank would be decent. It already has a weakpoint on top, but you dont even need to hit it

Why is this tank bad? Ugh, where do i even begin…in a nutshell, everything is bad. Gun isnt really that accurate, 230 alpha is abysmal, the turret’s weakspot underneath the gun is waaaay too big, not enough speed, and a big squishy hull of all of them arties. Oh and did i forget to mention? Gold pen is laughable in 2024. I’ve always said this and I’ll likely say it again, new premium tanks seem overpowered because they all outmatch the older ones, it would be way more balanced to buff the older tanks. They haven’t tried that yet huh. Edit: if you wanna get a brit heavy at t8 with actual ok gun and decent armor, i would argue fv4202 is the better choice. No that it ACTUALLY has better armor, just that its faster to get to positions and can wriggle around more in a hull down position so they cant hit your weakspots as often.
