Record companies and promoters will always provide complimentary tickets to high profile people - other celebs, politicians, etc whoever asks and seem to be 'in the know.' It is very possible Swift had no, or very little, say in the matter. To her, if she had been asked she would probably only be told he was the PM; no mention, maybe, of popularity. Having said that - did Kensington Palace pay for the tickets for the Wales? Mind you she has met The Prince of Wales so a slightly different thing.

Why do politicians need freebies when the elderly need help paying heating bills/groceries? Victims/Abuse victims need help dealing trauma, sick children with incurable disease could have use the free tickets as a pick me up to make them feel better. Taylor Swift comes from a smart professional class family - they are not stupid. She's become a billionaire, and the CEO of the Swift corporation, in essence. She's an educated young white woman - so like 90% of them, she is an automatic Dem voter (and pro 'Choice' too by the way). As you know better than we do Neil, performers always hand out lot of free tickets for their friends and connections. Win win.....publicity for her, and for Starmer and his sponger wife too (although it has backfired for them....ha ha....great). Swift is one helluva a smart cookie, just like her parents. Talk about a tortured presentation. First of all, Taylor Swift has been a big star since she was a teenager. All of her fans are not just teen and pre-teen girls. She wouldn't be filling all of those big stadiums if they were. The biggest Swiftie that I know is 61 years old. Also every big pop (and other genres) music artists reserve some seats for VIPs and other guests. So your proclamation that guests such as the PM and Prince of Wales are taking seats that would go to the general public is wrong. - And, were you concerned that "half" of Kid Rock's fans would be offended and he would lose income because he endorsed the other candidate? I'm not here in support of KS at all, but come on Neil, it was 4 tickets, and yes many fans missed out on tickets, but not because of KS, I know people who went to 3 shows in London. Now THEY were keeping other fans from having a chance to see her and if, whatever his wife's name is, is a fan then let her go. I'm 50 and a Swifty. But trust me, Taylor will not lose any fans because KS and the misses went to her concert, they are far more loyal than that.
