Record companies and promoters will always provide complimentary tickets to high profile people - other celebs, politicians, etc whoever asks and seem to be 'in the know.' It is very possible Swift had no, or very little, say in the matter. To her, if she had been asked she would probably only be told he was the PM; no mention, maybe, of popularity. Having said that - did Kensington Palace pay for the tickets for the Wales? Mind you she has met The Prince of Wales so a slightly different thing.

Definite double standards, either free tickets for both for for NEITHER and given the prices any free tickets should have gone to truly DESERVING people who would never be able to afford her prices in their wildest dreams. My husband wanted to go - he is a fan of her singing - but I took one look at prices and pointed out I can get THREE TICKETS TO A LIVE PERFORMANCE by someone we would ALL like to see [Andre Rieu in our case] for less than the price of one ticket to see her.
