I have been insulted by black people for helping fellow blacks. When you help you get accused of trying to win favor, or trying to prove that you are better than others. Yet when you step back and say "do it then", nobody steps forward. We are so bruised and suspicious of everything. Maybe we have been treated so badly in our lifetime that we find it difficult to just see good as good. I pray that one day we will become a race that functions from a place of unconditional love and not fear and hate. It is so disheartening but I will never stop doing my bit to uplift others.

Seeing this baby being so free and just being a child gives me joy and peace! She has been living in a toxic environment that could have potentially affected her attachment. Once Brenda has settled, I would like for her to start a podcast where many of us can have a safe platform to talk about the realities we have faced and continue to face when it comes to our families! Some of us are walking around with big wounds, bruises and scars from the abuse. The emotional constellation of distrust and fear of our families is real!
