Wore this song out on my cassette player in my car back in the day. Best part of the song was cut off at the end: “If you're ready to party and you wanna get down Bring your ma, your pa, and brother James Brown Bring Auntie Em and Toto too And all the party people to do their do We'll dance and party till the early light And say, 'Hey, we're feelin' alright' So come along, come on take a ride There's a party over there, that ain't no lie We're leavin' here in a cloud of smoke And th-th-that-th-th-that-th-th-that's all folks”

Coolio had a big hit sampling this for his Fantastic Voyage song. RIP Coolio. From Wikipedia with no explanation, "The band dressed in a range of costumes on their album covers, including pirates, 1920s police officers, cowboys, Arabian knights, and even Robin Hood." One of the guys who joined after this album is the father of Ty Dolla Sign. I've heard of him for some reason.

Just a great reaction. This is still a playlist song for every Funky occasion since the 80's. Other Funky songs you both would enjoy would be "Funkin' For Jamaica" by Tom Browne (The video is a must), "You're The One For Me" by D Train, "Party Train" by The Gap Band, "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus feat. Chaka Khan and "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On" by Cherrelle. "Dance With Me" and "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky with Me" both by Peter Brown. Many have been suggested various times before and some again in the comments. Don't forget about Cameo because its been awhile. "Back And Forth" by Cameo you would enjoy next. Its been awhile for K.C. & The Sunshine Band also. "That's The Way(I Like It)" and "Get Down Tonight" are still waiting for you. There are many other funky grooves you would like but too many to list. Thanks again for the Fun & Funky reaction.👍Oh I forgot these musts in my list "Hollywood Swinging'" by Kool & The Gang and "Must Be The Music" by Secret Weapon.

You two are so adorable together but you have to get a hold of some Con Funk Shun, that was the group. You scratch the surface with "Loves Train", then listen to "Straight from the Heart", "Chase Me", "All Up To You" , "Got To Be Enough" you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get with the groove. Especially if you like true R&B and Funk.

Welcome to my youth. Class of 1982 in the House. This is rap before the baby is fully born. Pure unadulterated big funky rap.
