No doubt. It doesn't mean that if they are strong in streams that automatically translates to being Artist of the Year. Take note of the word "Artist" SB19 embodies all characteristics of that word, they write, produce their own music. Another thing, 40% of the total score comes from artists votes which means, maybe majority of the artist voters believe more on the output of SB19 because they are organic. This is now what we call QUALITY over quantity. Let that sink in again.

Bakit may kanta na ba sila na umabot sa billion views sa ibang bansa? SB19 is even recognised by the government and proof dyan is they are honored ng mapa ng Pilipinas. If the spotify is that relevant then spotify should recognise them instead, but why not? Kc even rookie groups talo sila sa spotify. While SB19's ITunes achievement is even recognised by World Music Awards, which is rare. This is just this year. Maraming International award ang napanalunan ang SB19 this year too, proof that they have dedicated fans versus casual listeners who doesn't care about their artist. Just thinking out loud. Please bear with me. How many songs did SB19 release as a group and as solo artists this 2024? How many did the “other group” release? I believe Mahalima released over 15 songs this year while “they” released what 4 or 5. Let’s do the math, if you have more than 15 choices, your streaming will be spread out. But if you only have 4 choices, your streaming would be more concentrated. In short, the 4 choices would get more streams than the over 15 choices. Besides, you can only stream so much in one day especially if you have other responsibilities like a job or a profession or if you are a parent or if you are taking care of an elderly or sick loved one. So you have to choose which of the over 15 songs you prioritized to stream - spreading out the streams. And to top that, there are more than one streaming platform, spreading the stream once more. There is no comparison; there should be no comparison because the “givens” are very different from the get go. I have not even included the number of live shows and performances that SB19 had as a group and solo artists this 2024 plus their documentary movie screenings. A’tin gave their full support to all these. Again dividing their time between watching these and streaming. Need I say more?

I'm an A'tin, Bloom, Bullet, and Pixel... 40% of the votes came from the artists. First the Artist of the Year Category, is all about ARTISTRY or ARTISTIC VALUE. A real artist has an ear who can dive the covert musicality of a song or set of songs produced and recorded by another artist, which the ordinary mass can't quickly hear, see or even understand. That is the thing Bini missed here. Their songs are purely for entertainment and being catchy. I have no problem with that as a fan (Bloom). Second, the music video of the year category, it's kind of hard to digest Moonlight as the best since COT is much more colorful as an element for visuality, compared to plain and dull black and white colors of the boys' video. However, Moonlight had used a moving camera effect as the boys move, which I don't see from the MVs of Bini. Maybe that's the game changer, IMO.

Casual listener here. Here's my take: Having colorful elements does not necessarily equate to being the best MV. COT's concept is spoonfed and too common, not just in K-pop but also in Western pop. On the other hand, Justin conceptualized the Moonlight MV to be different and unique. Moonlight took a distinctive approach, having the group dance to a 'sensual' track without any expressions at all. The choreography also centers each member who is currently singing in the track, without the need for lip-syncing. The setting is also unconventional, as they are dancing in a pool under a disco ball-like moon. I know you are an A'tin, but as a casual listener and a visual artist, Moonlight definitely caught my attention and really deserves it win.
