Based on the lyrics of this song: *Hate is spitting out each others mouths* *But we're still sleeping like we're lovers* I think that it's clearly saying their relationship it's going nowhere because they lost that romantic feeling they felt in the beggining and can't stand it anymore.

Laur Cluster The way I see it, he waited up to for her to get back the clubs or whatever, put the lights out and went to bed as soon as she came through the door. She doesn't really want to face him either, maybe she's seeing someone else. They both know the relationship is over, they don't want to go through the breakup, maybe they're still comfortable with the life they've built around each other. I don't know, I've seen this video and heard this song just now for the first time, I could be way off.

Once upon a time there was a boy and a girl. They've shared a lifetime of memories together. They've loved each other so much they thought it'd never end. But it did. They watched their love slowly fade away. They both want to do something, they want to fix it but they don't budge a finger. They keep it together so they don't lose themselves. They've grown together, they've made each other the ones they are now. And how do you say goodbye to someone who helped you define yourself ? How do you start over ? That's, I think, the story of this song/music video

after the initial feelings of love are gone, it's up to you to keep the relationship going. it's not just sparks and chemistry, it's more - more than emotion, more than feeling. It's a commitment, it's work - as in you need to have date nights, or times when you just communicate, SOMETHING. you can't just leave it, or it will wilt away until it cannot be saved....

The couple have been together so long, they've grown distant with each other but can't seem to build the courage to end the relationship. the most subtle feeling of comfort in eachother is what keeps them together. They are afraid of being alone. They sleep like lovers with feet touching and eyes meeting, but feel like they have no love to give. I believe the man has cheated or has feelings for somebody else, thinking his partner doesn't recognize these feelings, but she does, and it hurts. Their relationship is basically a continuous battle of hurting each other and trying to forgive. The girl is crying because she still cares about him- with scattered feelings of wanting to make it work-but knows they just don't fit anymore, making her emotional. She needs to move on but feels like that's hardly an option, for reasons she tries to avoid. They don't feel good enough for each other but don't feel secure enough to leave.
@eise.9 жыл бұрын
Amy-Lee Stone It's interesting that you interpreted it that the male cheated because I interpreted that the woman cheated. He was up waiting to see when she came in but didn't want her to know he knew how late she came in, hence why he faked sleeping. When he lays down you see him check his watch. She comes in looking like she came from a party or something and the guilt of what she did is hitting her when she sees him sleeping in bed. She cries when she looks at herself in the mirror, again from guilt. The more she strips out of her clothes (disguise) the more emotional she gets.

Amy-Lee Stone I fell in love with a married woman, was a mistake... very long history. This video remnds me so much of her. She was supposed to divorce because she felt so alone, desperate. She said it was like a golden cage, she would got into bed no longer lovers, partners, nothing. Then, they will say hello, goodnight and each on their world. She said she was free by my side , completely happy and when the day came to left everything behind as in "daughter-run" she decided she couldn't. She was so scared , she prefer to stay... the last thing I knew of her someone told me; she is so fragile now that even the wind could break her. I could not save her. ( a story).

All relationships grow stale over time. That is when we make a choice to love one another enough to either let go or stay and work to mend what's become staid and boring. Communication is the foundation on which to build a successful partnership. Without it, the structure crumbles and you're left with the rubble.

This is exactly my marriage. Strangers sleeping in the same bed. No sex, no communication, no compassion, no feelings. 10 years of marriage, 6 years with a stranger. Separate lives once we leave the front door. Hurt feelings. Birthdays purposely ignored. Accomplishment downplayed. But at the end of the night, we have a home to sleep at. So sad what you'll give up for the security of having a place to come home to.

this song is about two lovers that don't want to put any effort in there relationship but, they do love eachothers so they don't admit that there relationship is on the line if they don't invest in it, it's more like they got bored out of this or they don't feel any connection anymore however they still know there is love in them for the other person which forces them to stay and suffer through this and biggest problem is that, they can't bring it up to the other partner cuz they are worried about ending their relationship and just leaving the other person.

Just a thought. Maybe, the girl is more outgoing than the guy. She likes to, maybe, stay out late, do things without the bother of time. Maybe she is even into adventure (inferring from the tattoo). The guy is more into time management, that's why sleeping at 11. At first these differences was what they liked about each other. Then it just didn't fit their "lifestyle". Some sacrifices are to be made to have the eternal love. One person cannot sacrifice everything, it's 2 people sharing and caring for each other, taking considerations of the other's likes and dislikes. Just a thought.

Really nice thought. Maybe she's a bit bipolar, and when she's in her mania state, she needs to be with people, then she feels wrong about it and she regrets it and falling in depression state, regretting everything with her bf, thinks that he does not love her... all relationships is about communicate guys, remember it, not only love relationships.. You can lost a lot of people, who actually care about you, just becouse you don't communicate to each other.. Lying in the same bed, pretending sleeping, feeling love but can't express it to each other. This society and these days can ruin us very fast so try to remember in any time what's real important.

Personally I love Daughter's songs, because they all may talk about real situations, emotions and feelings, furthermore they mean or express on their songs what othe people won't say it, because it's sad tellinf you are going trough breaking moments in your relationship. Coming from me, I'm an eight months relationship, and I can really say it's not only about the feelings or emotions you felt at the beggining. I guess it's about working on their differences, communicating with honesty, and respect your partner's ideas or likes. I think on written can sound easy but having gone trough all that months I can be certain how hard it is, specifically when age difference exists and being on different stages from life, like me I'm 27 yeas old and my boyfriend is 19 years old. I know it may sound for some pervert or some others unbelievable but it's what it is. We're living it but in my mind exists deeply the fear of loosing him therefore I realized that thing can not be given for sure, that you have to make an effort, you both. But having said that. What happen when someone fails and hurt you. How can you trust again that it won't happen again? How can you move from that bad moment feeling that fear always?

Interesting that "I want to be that skinny" got so many likes.. This is a piece of art and all people think about is weight. wow. I find that frustrating. I was just gonna say, "this is intensely relatable. The song itself but then the pictures created are subtle in and of themselves but as a layer on top of the lyrics… DANG. That was stunning."
@amyf495010 жыл бұрын
Agreed! About the relatable factor. No matter how many times I watch this video it immediately puts me right into that feeling again.

This is the tragic love story of two broken hearts not just one. 💞 Though in the end only to find they were always two halfs of a whole. Yes it shows her side pouring out the torn soul she carrys only needing her lovers touch. But he himself is caught between a dark pain all bottled up and rattled inside. He too shares feeling and shattered emotions he is scared to show. When in reality something was lost between that has him trapped in this abyss he is in. Just waiting for her to open up and show him just a little sign, a symbol that there is still a bit of hope. That the light is not out just dim beneath them ready to brighten up even their darkest of nights. 💖 A love so bold Forever & Always beating of you & i 💚💓💚

Charlie.. sad to say this being true when i feel ever gives up to fast and should whether through the storm cause light is always on the horizon if you choose to believe and remain positive. Yeah 8,000 thousand to be exact coming in the middle of each month. Though this paper don't mean a thing when its the love that brought together from the beginning not this cut up tree left between them. 😃💞

Lyrics I'll wrap up my bones And leave them Out of this home Out on the road Two feet standing on a principle Two hands longing for each others warmth Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to go It's spiraling down Biting words like a wolf howling Hate is spitting out each others mouths But we're still sleeping like we're lovers Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating Two feet standing on a principle Two hands digging in each others wounds Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to move It's spiraling down Biting words like a wolf howling Hate is spitting out each others mouths But we're still sleeping like we're lovers Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating Still with feet touching Still with eyes meeting Still our hands match Still with hearts beating I'll wrap up my bones And leave them Out of this home Out on the road Two feet standing on a principle Two hands longing for each others warmth Cold smoke seeping out of colder throats Darkness falling, leaves nowhere to go

I have loved this song for a long time but it never really hit me personally until about a year ago. My interpretation and personal connection to this songs video is a relationship that is no longer working out because both sides are stubborn and one side possibly really wronged the other and made promises to try but then as time went on that never happened. Slowly due to the communication falling a part the body language conveys how they really feel. You can tell she is trying to subtly reach out but he is ignoring every opportunity. Yet both are internally struggling you can see and it could be for the simple fact that neither wants to be alone so they settle. Even in their pain silently until one leaves the other behind.

Even though I can't relate I feel so much pain from this song and video. The silence speaks more than words and even though they care about one another they're both in pain and none is doing anything to prevent the other's, you know it'll be over, even if there's still something.
