But after these past few weeks, I feel like Penix is in a good place watching a veteran QB and learning instead of stressing as a starter. That interception Kirk threw is the reason we won. Okay let’s say turnover on downs, the Bucs get the holding call and takes a field goal. We then need a touchdown to win. But Kirk threw an interception, that holding call set them out and the run game was stopped forcing them to punt so we only needed a field goal instead of a touchdown. I’m actually happy he threw a pick, it gave us a chance to win the game

The interception on 4th down cost Tampa Bay the game. If he just knocked the ball down and made it an incompletion, they would have been in a position to kick a field goal, forcing the Falcons to have to score a touchdown instead of a game-tying field goal.
