johnnyv, what 2 Conferences did Meyer coach in before Florida? What a coincidence. BG before Meyer and Ball State before Hoke were on the same level. One of those coaches won 8-9 games/year in the MAC and the other won 5-6/year. One coach improved his Mountain West team by 5 wins/year and went to the 2 Best Bowls in school history (by far) and the other only improved his team by 1-2 wins/year over his tenure. So you can probably guess the correct coaches.

Obviously completely ignored when I said Meyer's BG teams he inherited were on the same level (about 4-5 wins/year) the decade before he got there as Ball State the decade before Hoke got there. Meyer did inherit a slightly better Utah program, but I wouldn't say a win or 2 better the previous decade compared to the SDSU team Hoke inherited is a big difference. Would you?

Youre missing the point. This isnt Rocket science. Bowling Green was great A LONG TIME AGO like in the 70s when Doyt Perry was their coach. Urban brought them out of their slump. Utah only had a few great seasons in their ENTIRE history before Urban got there. Urban had 2-3 STRAIGHT great seasons at Utah. Urban is capable of taking the worst team in the NCAA to a bowl game in a short time. Brady Flintstone---not so much.

Ball State when Hoke came there had never even been ranked. BG had a awful year the year prior to Meyer but Bowling Green is a much better program then Ball State. Also Meyer had better athletes at Utah. Its makes no difference Urban is 1-1 vs Michigan.

He was the HC at BG and Utah who are much better football programs then what Hoke was at. I have never said urban wasn't a good coach. urban has had the benefit of being at better schools(except when Hoke was at Michigan the first time.)

Barret compared to Morris is a weak compairson when they have completely different styles. Can't compare a style that is only succesful for winning at lower level football compared to pro style that wins at NFL level. Plus until either plays the only thing you can compare them on is how these rivals, scouts ect rank them and seeing as Morris has 5 stars. Obviously you aren't a college recruiter/scout and just a OSU windbag who usually runs off at the mouth without any football knowledge.
