100%. He's still the worst QB we've had in the last decade... which isn't really a knock on him so much as it's a testament to how great the QBs have been. But that last drive changed my perception of him. He spends most of the game just trying not to lose. Which, if you're surrounded by as much talent as he is I kinda get that... just don't give the game away and you let a teammate go win it. But no teammate went and won it and he has some grit under those pads when he's asked to cut it loose.

He could end up being better than JT and Braxton as well. Would be hard to surpass Fields or Stroud.

I want to say, at one point ryan day gonna have to trust mccord to do a qb sneak. There was a handful of ND defenders in the osu backfield, as far back as the 4 yard line, 3 yard line etc, in a split second, they came from both sides AND with only 10 guys on the field. Risky handing the ball off on the 4 yard line, its essentially a 4 yard run when the ball is spotted at the 1, by the time you hand it off. A qb sneak on that play would have been an actual true 1 yard run, plus a few inches.

My guess is that you have to attempt the PAT because, in theory, the defense could block the kick and return it all the way to the other end zone, which would be worth 2 points, and tie the game.

The failure of our Buckeyes really stand out here. Only 10 defenders. 2 unblocked in the backfield, and the right side was pushed back. If they needed 2, and not 1.5, they get stopped.

Because OSU got a first down. Clock stops on a first down in the last two minutes of each half and starts back up after the refs place the ball and signal ready for play. That was actually how first downs worked for the entire game before this season. New rules for it to only be during the last two minutes of each half.

Replay continues to ruin the sport. The game was over, everything doesn’t need to be reviewed. Absolute trash on the refs part ruining a classic ending. And I’m a Michigan fan so this isn’t coming from a buckeye fan.
