Don't get me wrong the March Madness tournament will always be exciting but it lost a little something when Gus Johnson left CBS almost a decade ago now

Even though this loss hurt, it took Ohio State's best effort to beat my Musketeers. I can't be too disappointed in that.

@@rshelley7496 i do. They didnt call a flagrant on Oden at 1:11:40.
@rshelley74963 жыл бұрын
@@222333aaaaaa that has been mentioned but also Xavier had a 9 to 10 point lead most of the 2nd half to just under 3 minutes fo play ...Lewis and Conley made some big shots and steals in that small window of time was moreso the main reason...just like some fans wanted to blame some bad refs calls in the playoffs against Clemson 2 years ago when in reality Ohio State should've scored more points in the red zone...bad or missed calls happen and not calling flagrant foul on Oden had a small effect on the outcome ...but I just don't think you can blame losing a 9 to 10 point lead late in the game on that

I remember watching this that Ohio State team and what they did with those freshman in Conley, Oden, and Cook was incredible. Xavier, they were always, and still are, a dangerous NCAA tournament team.

This was a game of all games. Cant really say Cage choked that second foul shot just missed. 8/8 with 25 points. There’s a big difference between barely drawing iron way short, and the way his foul shot missed. It was in and out, it happens. Xavier did have opportunities to put the game away, and didn’t but I can’t say they choked. A classic game. Thad matta recruited many of those Xavier players. That could not have been fun for him. The next one against Tennessee was equally as amazing.

Sean Miller's teams always blew leads. Worst coaching decision ever not to foul before Ohio State's 3 point shot with a few seconds left.

I was 15, almost 16. I've grown up a Wright State and OSU fan with CBB. But this team was special, and not just nostalgically. They were the most talented team in the country that year. Except Florida had the best team. The last CBB dynasty. That great team and Donovan were the only reason this great team aren't national champions. Also...Gus Johnson was brilliant all day on this call, much like he is on Fox CFB every Saturday 🤘
