Honestly, I find that the cheaper a "quality" knife is, the more "clever" it tries to be, with features that inevitably are 1. useless for anything but looks and 2. completely ruin the functionality of an otherwise probably pretty good survival/bushcraft knife. I want three things: a sharp, scandi grind that keeps its edge, a thick FLAT spine, and a full tang. Anything else, for my experience, is unnecessary fluff and is in the area that cheap knives cover well enough. The mora garberg is almost perfection-- and it would be, if it was CRV-v2.

I didn’t really see anything gimmicky on this one, but yes that happens when companies try to make their knives stand out from the crowd
