I log in to watch these every week, this season's performances have been stellar by both the OSUMB and the football team. Love watching these routines but it makes me so homesick at the same time.

I completely agree with you on that Tommy Woltde because even though I am not from Pennsylvania that made me very proud and a little sad and it made me proud and I a little sad because it reminded me that I had ancestors that witnessed and fought the battle of Gettysburg and my ancestors that witnessed it were from Gettysburg like my 4x great grandfathers house and barn was used as a Union field hospital for the 5th corps army of the Potomac and I had a 4x great uncle fighting valiantly in the ranks of Company K First Pennsylvania reserves infantry regiment and also during the battle of Gettysburg my 3x great grandfather Emanuel weikert was building his house and like my ancestors property also witnessed and took part in the battle of Gettysburg and what I mean by take part is you see my 4x great grandfather Jacob weikert owned the land on which the 20th Maine made their famous famous bayonet charge against the 15th Alabama infantry regiment and like I was a little sad because you see I had two 4x great cousins named molly and Sadie and they witnessed the battle but I got a little sad because they passed away young from Tuberculosis but I felt proud 🥲 because my 3x great grandfather Emanuel weikert was the oldest living civil war veteran in Adams county Pennsylvania by the time he was an old cranky man.

Holy wow. Tear-inducing. No question the best marching band I have ever seen. Not just this performance, which was incredible - and what a theme, but an entire season of different routines. What an amazing amount of work that goes in to such an ambitious season. Congrats, TBDBITL!

This band never ceases to outdo their performance from the prior one. I am amazed at the hard work and creativity of their band director, the band and all those that help the performance go on and entertain us. Ohio State U - you lucky people!

This is just GREAT. I wish everyone could see this to respect what a band and director goes through to make an AWESOME performance as this. This just blew me away. They also kept Christ in their show. I wish more bands would do more like this. I'm a tide fan, but Ohio State band just took first place in bands and over the top on performances. The director is a genius and a very creative mind. Please keep posting these so we can all enjoy them. I'm sending this to our local TV station for them to show to our area.

Thanks Henry, glad to know there are others who feel the same sentiment. It really concerns me that when someone mentions certain words that reference Americanism, our young people of today immediately lash out with stuff like this and say nothing about when main stream media or our leaders get it intentionally wrong. I was just so glad and encouraged when I saw this, I couldn't help but say thank you OSU Band!

This was another outstanding job by the Buckeye Marching Band. It shows off their musicians, staff and director(s) as being not only amongst the most talented but also amongst the most intelligent. There aren't too many other college marching bands who could pull something such as that half-time show off. And I write that as a former member of a university marching band....(not Big Ten). Congrats to all of the members of the OSUMB for this awesome halftime show and best of luck to all of them in the future.

In the fall of 1955, OSU vs Ilinois, in "the shoe," TBDBITL presented a dancing drum section at halftime, to the tune "Serenade To A Sand Dune," that brought " the loudest and longest applause and cheers ever expressed by the capacity audience for the band", according to director Dr. Jack Evans. This same presentation was seen again in 1958 at the Rose Bowl game on national television.

They used the wrong lyrics to Battle Hymn of the Republic. I don't know where the wrong lyrics came from but the correct lyrics are: ln the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me: As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is marching on. Using the lyrics "As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free" shows no sacrifice on our part as in the original lyrics by Julia Ward Howe. It should be "As He died...let us die..."
