I was legitimately rooting for Wakatsuki, and I root for him every time. To put into context how cool he is, he was basically a superman, born right here on Earth. He could have used that super strength and lived like a king, been a total asshole, like so many characters in Kengan are. Instead, he's probably the most wholesome guy on the roster.

People crying plot armor seem to forget Waka's attacks lack force since he has a screwed ankle and poor depth perception due to being partially blinded, also Niko style has adamantium kata whose sole purpose is to parry attacks based on body part hardening. Ohma also had more time to rest his body since his fight with Cosmo was more about endurance than damage. And at last, Wakatsuki was able to live a perfectly good life after the tournament and we all know what Ohma had to sacrifice to barely win this fight using the strongest technique in his whole arsenal.

I would understand if Ohma had won by dodging most of Wakatsuki's strikes and by landing more hits than Wakatsuki. But TANKING more hits from a dude 5 times stronger than him and then 2 shotting him even though he’s also 5 times more durable than Ohma is nonsense. Wakatsuki deserved that victory.

Dude ohma used a technique that sends all the force that waka used (+a little added from ohma’s strength) right back at waka. That technique literally made it so waka was defeated by his own force. Also waka literally did so much damage to ohma, he had 24 hours left to live. (According to kengan ashura before they brought ohma back in kengan omega)

This allow Ohma to withstand Wakatsuki’s hits, even then Ohma had noted that if his Unbreakable techniques was rated 10, Wakatsuki’s Superman syndrome has straight 50. Ohma had to redirect Wakatsuki’s own force + his own strength (by using Demon Slaughter) to defeat him. It also damaging Ohma as well since Wakatsuki’s generate such immense force which it took tolls on Ohma’s internal organs. In manga, based of the wounds Ohma had during this fight, he only has 24 hours to live which is still long enough until the final match. Saying its all plot armor how he won the fight is a bit stretch tbh.

People say Waka should have won, but this is a guy with something on the line against someone putting his very life on the line. Taking nerfed attacks due to his indestructible softening it to the point of being ‘really heavy’, not ‘lethal’. Ohma couldn’t die of shock due to the forest training with his master, so he could barely put up a fight and relied on a gambit to win the match. It was Waka’s own misinterpretation of the failed move early on that sealed his fate. Otherwise, statistically speaking, this fight is 9 out of 10 wins for Waka, with this scenario being that 1 exception.

The result of this fight is disgusting.... For those who are familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh! literally the author of gave a "Mirror Force" to his protagonist. The worst thing is that both Cosmo and Wakatsuki are affected by their previous battles and Ohma is as good as new in all the fights except in the fight against Kuroki who came crawling thanks to plot armor/plot conveniences.

In Ohma's defense, the fight against Cosmo was pretty much a battle of endurance so the damage he took is relatively less than the accumulated damage Wakatsuki took during his fight with the Genocider. Although, the fight was admittedly plot-armorish Ohma is just a worst match-up against someone like Wakatsuki who mainly relies on pure strength alone. In my opinion the fight is emblematic of how silly Kengan's logic can be.

Easily the worst fight in Kengan Ashura. This fight aside, the show was always faithful towards the established rules. Ohma should've taken way more damage from the kick to the body, potentially losing too. The hits in the clinch should've been guaranteed death. This is Wakatsuki, the guy who was established for his crazy power. He 1 shots guys with clean hits. Sure, Ohma has indestructible but his arms were already limb after the first barrage, who could he have blocked anything after that? This is just plot armor for the MC to progress, I'm sorry. I assume the author wanted Ohma to struggle and take damage which is why he let him take the hits. The Wakatsuki vs Muteba fight was perceived well, si he probably went against the idea of running and dodging while looking for a counterattack
