Mirage is honestly so boring. People gave Dust 2 lower ratings because its been out for 15 years and is so popular, but Mirage is the exact same, if not worse. Its been played so much both in ranked and pro play its effectively been solved. Also just as an aside, everyone says bring back old maps, but most of the maps that were removed were barely popular, and whenever they bring them back (like Tuscan, which was a cs 1.6 map) nobody plays them.

I think people just hate the communities the maps bring into.. on dust 2 for example u meet alot of toxic russian and turkish guys, people that dont care about the game and just scout at t base all game. Mirage in my opinion is a really great map with very good map design but its hated because its too much played (90% of faceit is mirage)

Bro me and one of my friends play tuscan daily and it's so great. Idk about "opening up the skyboxes more" comment, we can smoke any site for take and retake from both sides from almost anywhere on the map already.. what else needs to be done? 2-3 smokes + a single molly on B, 1 smoke, 1 molly and 1 flash on A.. You don't need anything else to demolish everyone on this map as T. Just have 1 guy watch the mid-lobby junction and you're golden.

TLDR AT BOTTOM: Inferno envelopes the culmination of gamesense, aimplay and utility usage to the max. I would say Inferno isn't my first pick but I definitely understand the mental shift you need when playing it. Theres a reason theres 2 mids and lots of players don't realize the importance of T side versatility in map majority. It is a super CT sided map but chances are, if you play super smart on T then CT is a piece of cake. Playing for picks is huge on T side, letting CT use their opening utility and allowing them to peek out allows T's to make decisions on their opening picks. T side is all about playing for picks and drawing CT's out rather than bum rushing sites (which works in low ELO but SMFC+/Faceit 7+ you will get punished). Having functional standing ground on about 65-70% of the map (CT spawn isn't counted in ground covered) it's imperative to drawing out fights and playing angles with coordinated swings and counter util. Using nades behind smokes and flashing after the fact helps, in quicker succession it draws CT's behind the smokes farther away, allowing space to be made even when smokes fade. Moving firefights is also crucial. Effectively moving firefights away from bracket using util is big in creating space and future gunfights toward a site, so smoking arches then mollying behind it draws that CT player to arch or to site, allowing you to util pit and force the arch player to challenge you when you get to lane on A site. Thats one out of many examples of shifting firefights and creating reliable space where you know a player can't be. TLDR: CT sided but T side has technical advantage with Util and number of angles, you need coordination and rotational gamesense. -Played this map for bout 10 years in GE Ive learned a couple things

Yea well i aint saying it's a bad map, but i feel this is only a good map with a 4 or 5 man cue up. As a mf that started playing CS recently again, but with all my friends moving on to other things. I just do comp wit randos now, and inferno is a fucking disgusting map in silver lol. Just nading and AWPing banana. Constant AWP or scout mid camping spawn. always 1 or 2 holding that fucking door on mid with a M4. To make it complete the fucker with an AWP in the CT spawn house camping heaven. Playing Inferno you just die by some fucker camping holding a shit angle, and you can't do shit about it. Is how i feel. You always have those shit teammates that keep peeking the AWP on banana, and then die. Then you try to clutch the round, but there holding every fucking angle possible on B site. You're just hoping to hit them with surprise, and get past mid or heaven.

As a Supreme player who loves inferno I totally disagree about the part that is CT sided... Weapons are better on the T side, if only you use utility smart and take site quickly enough it becomes really T sided. If I'd take like 50 last matches on inferno I would see an avarage 10 of rounds won on T side per game.
