Shakira Walker lol actually most of her fans are pre-teen and teenage girls. I think people of all ages find her music so appealing because it's not contrived, it's all her (no auto tune, etc.), and there's nothing raunchy or sexual about it. It's a breath of fresh air the music industry has ling been missing. If you can find something creepy in that, I'm truly sorry. I'll pray for you. BTW I happen to be 56.

Grace has brought the excitement back to music for me. I remember back when my friend and I would get so excited about an album release. We would talk about it for weeks. When the album would finally come out, we would run down to the record store and get it, first thing. Then we would go to my friends house put it on the record player, and crank up the volume. I’d plop down on the beanbag chair, him on the bed and we would listen to it for hours while studying the album cover. It’s been almost 45 years, but that feeling is back. The main difference is it now my wife yelling, “turn that down!”, “are you going to listen to that all day?”. why don’t you go outside and do something?” Deja vu. Thank you Grace, well done.

Tad, you've given us enough info for me to guess that we are about the same age. The only difference between your experience and mine is that I often had to do this alone without a friend. Such were my tastes in music. But I totally get you otherwise. BTW- did you know Grace has called her most recent music "70s with a modern twist?" Her Dad is 61yo, old enough to be a 70s guy. There's the link for you! Is Grace channeling that era somehow? I used to think that after 1975, the music kind of died. Not totally, thanks to her. She is a living miracle, and savior. The record players may be gone now, but not that spirit of discovery. Not as long as she continues to amaze us all!

Maybe this song doesn't get as much attention as do others in her album, but this is one of her very best. It's so beautiful and flowing and emotional that it's almost overwhelming to listen to. The lyrics alone are beautiful sublime poetry (go to a "lyric" version and turn the sound off, and you'll see). The recording engineers deserve much praise for their efforts here. Listen to this on a really good stereo (no earbuds nor headphones) and you can hear the tremendous detail in Grace's voice. You can also hear that the engineers have managed to vary the width of the playback soundstage depending on where they are in the song. (chorus, pre-chorus, etc.). The concept of a "masterpiece" is essentially impossible to use in characterizing any of today's contemporary music. This cut is the exception. Florets is truly a musical masterpiece.

Once again Grace has gifted us with a stunningly beautiful song that just seems to get better every time you listen to it. We are so fortunate to have her here now doing these amazing things.
