I’ve met the vocalist of this band. He is quite possibly one of the friendliest and most social guys I’ve met. Like he makes you feel like one of his friends. He seems genuinely happy to see any of his fans.

This had me in tears. I've been suffering from depression for years and thought about suicide a few times. But seeing people struggle just like me, or more. It means we are not alone. And that helps a bit. R.I.P to everyone who's lives ended early because of depression. Thanks for this video

The End of The Beginning is one of those songs, no matter how times you listen to it, you'll end up crying everytime. One of my best friends committed suicide when i was 17. RIP Jesse. I'll see you on the other side, eventually, brother.
@thomasmarchese28082 жыл бұрын
As a cynical person I struggle with the “you’re not alone”. I personally naturally have more of a “people only care hen it’s too late” mentality. Everyone comes out of the wood work when it’s too late to make themselves feel better/because they feel guilty. Not because they were there all along

This whole album is worth a listen since all the songs are part of a bigger story. Each one is about a different character and each of the characters are somehow connected.
@Pepper_Jvck4 жыл бұрын
Also, these guys may be geniuses at writing catchy choruses, but they’re known for the stories they tell. Every album of theirs is a concept album, telling a specific story. This album is about some people in the afterlife recalling their final moments before death. They have two other albums and two great EPs(although one of the EPs, Pick your Poison, is not a story). The best story of theirs to me is the album The Incubus. Tells the story of a woman in the 1950s who suffers nightmares while also dealing with the harsh patriarchy and sexism.

I cried thru the whole fuckin thing. This year has been one big contemplation of suicide for me since Jan 8. That's when my wife (of 8 yrs, 10 total) left me via text with nothing. I'm still homeless, broke, unable to work medically and fighting for help. Never thought I'd be begging people to consider looking at an amazon wishlist to get normal things. I'm still not sure if I wanna go on day to day. Some days I write lyrics to cope (but my vocal progress is fucked). Some days its listening to music, watching people like you, I'm just scared one day it won't be enough before I figure it out. My bad for the rambling clusterfuck.

Dude, I really hope you'll get trough it! I really do! I know what it feels like. I live in Russia, people in this country just worst, no one gives a fuck about you. My entire life I'm all alone - no friends, family don't understand me, I was hardly bullied throughout school, and I never had a girlfriend, kissed or anything (And I don't I ever will). I was diagnosed this year with Depression and OCD. It's really everyday struggle. Pills only made it worse, especially for my health. After high school I wasn't able to graduate anything because of my mental problems. I worked, but there's no good job, and in our country there's pretty poor and shitty life. Low level life. I'm 22, I struggle every day, and I know what it feels like when you feel like there's no hope, people call you weak, coward and stuff like that, but you have to make it through. For yourself! I wish you the best my friend and hope things will get better for you! We have to survive through this! For ourselves!

@@ВадимМоскаленко-и3л hey. Thanks a lot for sharing. I've been going thru a lot of this stuff since I was your age, so I get you, man. Justnso you know, I was 23 before I ever got with a woman romantically. Never really had friends, only have one to this day. Got my ass kicked, called names even now which is why I don't leave where I'm staying. I'm still homeless, still broke, but was able to get recording stuff so hopefully something will come of that. Depends on whether I get a pla e to live. I'm living on a chair in my mom's living room right now. No privacy, 8 people other than me including 4 kids 8 and under, 3 cats, a dog, a rabbit, 4 rats, a turtle, a bird and my cat. It's a circus. I'm dying to get out, but I guess we'll see. I hope we both overcome. You're 22, you're still a baby in life my friend. I'm still youngish too. You have a better chance than me, but we both have a chance. Love and respect my friend.
